Then your key switch is bad
Key ON and no power to the ALT, but wiring checks out.
Kill switch must be on the Red/Purple and not the Purple like all other boats

Either that or something was missed

Connect 10 pin back up.
Turn key ON and measure power at the key purple wire
I have battery voltage at purple wires of key switch with key on and everything hooked up

That's what doesn't make since. The wire rings out good but yet no power to the ALT

The kill switch should be tied into the purple. Basically the purple leaves the key switch and goes to the kill switch. From the kill switch it goes to the gauges and back to the motor as a purple. The actual wire colors from the kill doesn't matter, because they are spliced inline with the purple

You have the Volvo EEM system. This is the manual for the one you have. Go to section 7.

After you read about it, you will see why I just ditched it in favor of a new Delco Voyager. Volvo only put this system on for 2 years and when you read about it, you will see why. I change mine out BEFORE it failed and left me stranded.

Take special note of the wiring between the asist solenoid on the purple/black wire. Make sure you get voltage on this wire both with the engine cranking and while in run mode.

Look for the 12.5A circuit breaker and measure voltage there with and without engine cranking.

What is this plug on the back of the engine that has a cover over it.. almost like its on the gimbal housing..
Seems to leave that and go to the ignition module.

If I give the solid purple wire 12v on the ignition module it'll stay running until I remove the 12v..

That is your answer.
Just need find why 12V is not making it to the motor on pin 5

Yep..
Had 12v on purple coming out of ignition switch, going to firewall but not coming out of firewall..
Ran a new wire from ignition switch, through firewall to cannon plug and we're back in buiness.
