Good news everyone...as the professor would say from Futurama.

I had just enough time to pickup the seats and throw them in the boat and head off to my sons soccer game.

Tomorrow is posting some pics day and getting hammered in the boat doing some wire routing, etc.

Work has gotten in the way again. Never made it out other than to shoot these pics.

Here's one of the remote oil drain hose that was replaced last fall and doesn't drip oil. :)

There are also some shots of the stereo that I threw into the ladder area for the time being until I can redo the dash. I connected the orange, red and yellow wires (+) into the fused line for the stereo coming out of the fuse box. This means that the stereo will always have constant power and could drain the battery...but the stereo has a setting to shut it self off (illumination after 30 seconds) after powering off so it shouldn't be an issue. Once the dash is finished I'll swap the illumination + and antennae + onto a switched connection so when it's switched off it's switched off.

Here are some more shots of the long awaited seats.

I spent more time of these than whole sections of the boat so I need to get going on the rest. The engine cover, jump seats, etc need to get done yet and I need to get everything else bolted in including the back to back seats. They are just thrown in for now to get them out of the garage as I'm running out of room. I'll need to do everything in the boat to live up to the upholstery work so everything doesn't look out of place.

The shifter is all bolted in nicely but I don't have full range of motion on the shifter. The shifter goes all the way into reverse but doesn't have full motion into forward. I'm wondering if the cabled on the back end were hooked up without taking the shifter range into consideration.

VERY nice! I like your seats. I dropped off mine yesterday and she is doing something similiar, but in red and white. I like how you did the side panels as well.

Seats look great really makes the whole interior pop. Nice classic muscle car kind of look with modern touches. I am amazed by the attention to detail.

Thanks guys. I have a decent eye for most things but relied on the work of the upholsterer that really knows what he was doing. It would look like a monkey did the upholstery work If I did it. I don't think I have the patience required.

I'm just wondering if I should bolt a new shifter in as I really only want to do this once with any luck.

My cables have quite a bit of adjustment on motor end (johnson o.b. with type 400 cables) don't the I.O.'s have any adjustability? A linkage or something?

I'm going to pull the shifter off this weekend and clean it up a bit. The push button to work the throttle only is stuck as well. I'll take it apart once it's off the boat and unstick the spring in there as see how it goes.

Suuhhweeet.. Nice Job.. If you get frustrated with that control, a new Teleflex would really look nice. Kinda pricey but I really liked the ones I had.

Went for a run and came back kind of wiped. Still had energy to go pickup 30 ft of 2 inch wide 1/4 inch thick red oak trim to replace the teak on the bow. I looked at the receipt at it came out to 8.00 with a #6 countersinking drill bit. I think they made a boo boo on the old till there :) Teak is something like 6.00 a foot here so the oak will have to do and is cheap enough to replace as it cosmetic only anyway.

I'll start cutting and drilling the wood tomorrow and coating it with exterior uv protecting Varathane.

I got the bow oak cut and the screw holes countersunk. I gave it a coat of exterior Varathane and it will need at least another coat or two before I bolt it all down.

I also got two Scotty Powerlock rods holder bolted into place and will need to pick up another two for the front seats. I will also be using Scotty fender rings that pop into the rod holders that will hold the rope for the boat fenders/bumpers.

I'll get the pics in tonight when the wife comes come with the camera cable to transfer the pics to pc.

You know you're getting closer when the rod holders go in :)

Just wondering if I should sandblast my own trailer since it's super ugly and can't stand looking at it any longer. I can get a used 5 gal pressurized sand blaster for $60 and bags of silica sand for 4 each. Just wondering how many bags I will go through and how much mess I will make.

The other option is to price it out and around here nothing is cheap.
