All the work was done in a heated shop at my father in laws company on Sat. I needed to get some work done and couldn't wait until spring :)

More shots of the cross brace mounted using 2x2 alum angle iron and the jump seats in place.

The dog house is a little too wide since the extra padding was done on the seats, etc so I'll cut it down. It's about an inch or so too high and the same on width. I'll also add about an extra 3/4 of an inch on the rear of it so it mounts flush with the front of the cross brace.

The jump seats are perfect. I really like the bilge vents between the seats  All is looking nice, sprint.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping everything is functional as well to get at least a year or two of trouble free boating to forget the work involved.

I'm hoping to live in this thing over the summer.

To think I didn't want to restore a vehicle 'cause it would be too much work. I would have been driving a restored vehicle to work every day by now :)

Sprints,
I haven't been by for awhile. Nice work my friend, the interior looks great, as normal.
I hope all is well.
Take care

Yeah. Still a bit too cold ever here.

I'd like to get the axle flipped to over the leaf springs to drop the trailer and pickup some lower profile tires but it would be tough to do with frozen fingers.

When it warms up enough I'll pull it back to my driveway and start mocking up the dash area and bend to match in alum sheet on a brake. I'd like to get my dash done in alum and get all the gauges and switches mounted so I can finish the wiring under the dash so she is ready for some big water :)

Hey Sprintst, are you not getting all the warm weather like we are down here? +10 here yesterday with a horrible wind, and were tough anyhow so working in a little cold should be no problem!!:D

It's melting here today too :) Laying on ice flipping the axle wouldn't be much fun though.

I did see a chick jogging in shorts today so that's a good sign

I have two sets of guages some old dashes I bought so I need to check with Faria which parts I need so I can put the dash back with some updated hardware. The gauges don't come with trim/bezel rings so I want to see if I can add them.

I'll post some pics later of the dash I bought a while back.

I was just going to bring the boat out and start working but we've got a winter storm warning advisory. Up to 10 inches of snow over the next two days. Just when it had all melted....

I picked up a metal fire extinguisher holder for 5 as the old plastic one broke in like 10 seconds and a used twice Scotty 1050 downrigger on Kijiji for about half price. Got to get out there and catch come lake trout this season.

Final practical exam this Thursday and final written exam on Tuesday. After that it's time to get caught up on the boat.

Need to bring the leaf springs over the axle to drop the trailer a tad as to seems too high me making the boat tough to launch around here.
Engine cover needs some mods before dropping it off to upholstery then perhaps a dash tear down with rebuild in aluminum. Princess auto (Harbor Freight in the US equivalent) has a deal on some of the metal hole saw kits so it's time to start looking.

Probably will pickup a second group 27 battery at Costco to run the accessories and then get ready for the water.

Hey Sprint, May longs coming quickly. You must be getting down to the short list on the boat.

Let me know if there are any lake trout lakes down there and I'll go for a ride.

Can't wait to get out and working on the boat again.

Found some of the parts I need to get the fish finder mounted so I can test out the electronics and get the firmware updated in the driveway. Bought of these heavy duty Ram mounts as I can't find and area that is out of the way right on the dash. This will mount to my right on the gunwale on the drivers area just inside the windshield. Saw one mounted last week and it looks to be rock solid. Didn't realize they were made so well. All heavy aluminum and powder coated. I originally though they were cheap plastic.

Comes with a larger 1.5 inch ball for mounting. The RAM-107U is a "rugged use" mount, designed to hold large marine electronic devices.

Looks like there is also a locking knob with a key that can be used to secure it in position so no one can just unscrew the knob and walk away with the fishfinder.
