Re: '82 140 mercruiser- milky oil
we,ve only had the boat for a short while ,in the water maybe four times,
this problem first started when we went to go out for a ride, put the boat in the water and it would not crank . this was odd because i just ran it on muffs at home to make sure everything was ok. took it back home and pulled the plugs and found water in #3 cylinder( squirted out when i cranked it). i pulled the manifold and it did not look like it was bad(not really sure) . pulled the head off and gasket did look like it had a blown spot around the bad cylinder.
the cylinder does have score down one side of it. so i replaced gasket , torqued head back down, new gasket on manifold, oil change and started it up again. still getting water in new oil ,ran about 15 min and oil is milky again.
i could repace manifold and eliminate that for just over $200.
not sure how to proceed with this?
