NathanY, the Floor foam was good.. But in the front 2 compartments there is a space where the floor meets the sidewall, I'm going to fill with Great Stuff to keep small things from going under the floor..
Hey BG if you want some ideas from others on what they've done on their rebuilds you can look in on the threads in the Starcraft section. Your Smoker is a Starcraft and they are identical.
Got lot done today the New Transom is all back together painted and ready for the motor but not untill the inside is done... A beautiful day to work outside in the bright sun..
I want to remove the decals and stripe any suggestions on a method? I tried a hair dryer with no success and a Heat gun and the the heat gun was to hot and melted the paint. So I guess my question is... Is the a solvent I can use to soften the glue but not harm the paint?
There's no solvent I know that will remove crystallized 30 year old decal adhesive and leave paint untouched. Your best bet was the heat gun, a slow and steady approach heating slowly a few feet of the decal until the decal lets go and it comes off with moderate force from a plastic scraper.
Don't waste your time and money on all the sticker off and goo gone garbage. If you want to try MEK and Xylene are 2 adhesive reducers that work well removing crusted old adhesive from carpet and decals that's left behind after removal. I don't know if it will be able to penetrate the vinyl of the decal.
Did some interior work yesterday and today on bow seating area... the two side bolsters were re done and the front one is one I added.. added side lights....
