Got a little done on Sunday.... Jump seats in and mounted...steering cable and rack installed.....nice and smooth now Mounted the swim platform....but forgot the pic of it :facepalm:

More poly and some gel coat on it's way for the engine cover and rear storage compartment for the bimini top.....

Well after a few layers of 6 oz cloth and a layer of finishing veil it was time to gel coat the engine cover and compartment pieces...

Here's the first coat with a roller.... It kinda has a FRP look to it and I just might keep it like that..... We always step on the engine cover box while fishing so it will be a little non skid..... If I want I can always sand and buff later..

Don't know if you can see the diferance but here's coat 2
I'll drop a 3rd coat with wax tomorrow.

OK after trying a different roller for 3rd and forth coats... I'll use the foam one again on the final with wax.... I should have gone with the foam right from the start:facepalm: Much better finish with it...









My parts are starting to come in....Got my Whale side entry strainer from iboats for the washdown pump system...new trim tab anoid on the way,led lights for deck and storage area lighting and a bunch of SS latches,hinges and cleats

Cool more stuff to tinker with

Rick does that accoustic insulation liner on your dog house seem to reduce the noise any better than the dense glue on foam?

Dunno FF Haven't tried it out yet... I know it will help some.....last year it was just a hollow plywood box!

I hope to get her wet next weekend....weather permitting....

My washdown pump and plumbing....



Strainer pick up..... gotta paint that pipe blue to match the boat.


If I close one valve and open the other I pull water from the bilge



Gotta fire that puppy up.....



This is much better than that plywood box!
