Awesome man. Glad you got it all put together and had a great day with your pops. The red stripe looks great. told ya that 3m would work, lol

Might be able to wet sand that little box out of the strip, lmao:D Did I mention the red strip looks great!:p

Now I do have to ask, why in the world do you have those really nice fenders mounted up front if your going to use the rinky dinky ones at dock?:p

That is definately a beautiful areas up there on the river.

Now go celebrate and buy yourself a radar arch and radar.:D

Great job dude. Upgrade and remodeling boats is a good investment. This may require you a cash advance but it's worth it after you see the finished product.

Outstanding, lil buggy, that Red Stripe looks terrific!!!

Ok, the whole time I'm thinking THIS kind of Red Stripe...

No really! the work you did on that boat, particularly the red make the whole thing look brand new! You should be proud of yourself.

I'm jealous that you've gotten out on the water. Great that Dad could come along for her maiden voyage this season! Beautiful phots of the Beaver, the Ohio and the surrounding landscape!!

The Marina has finally got me splashed and tied up at my slip. My Mechanic is not a quick as yours, but he tells me that he'll do the tune-up on the water in the next couple of days which will allow him to time it under load too which is a good thing. Unfortunately, we're off to a Derby Day party at a friends house, so I wasn't able to get up to play today. I'll spend tomorrow up there (2 hour drive each way is a killer) and get the cabin put back together and check out the water supply and head pumps to make sure they survived the winter.

Again, Congratulations!!!!!

we spent the evening getting all the tools organized, and generally cleaning the cabin up. we didn't run her but had a productive night.
i did get some more shots of the lights, but a real pita to get good ones. heres the blue glow from the coastalnightlights
050712046.jpg

heres a few with the rgb's all red,(i still have to add a piece of trim on the lights above the cabin doors)
050712026.jpg

you can really tell that the fresh water isn't filled yet, she lists to port at the dock.

red was the only pic i shot yesterday. i like the red the best followed by the blue that matches the underwaters.

Re: 89 Fiesta Vee 250 setbacks, projects, and upgrades!

we have had some really heavy rains here,
so far i got a propagne tank a tire with a rim, a big ol dead snapping turtle and enough wood to make a beaver jealous:D

also i have a few wet spots in my cabin i am lookin into. think i got them both figured out,,, but only time will tell.
in the mean time i have been working on a solution to hide the under seat rgb glare off the cabin doors as well as the glare from above the doors. i should be able to post the prelim results tomorrow.
also lookin forward to that last hour before (beak in is comlete) trip, hopefully if the weather holds out, tomorrow:D
wish me some luck.

thanks, it really was an easy install for them. the rgb's were aso easy and cheap. half the cost of the red/white domes i wanted,,, and i wanted three,,,,so i guess for 1/6th the cost and all the free other colors,,,i did ok:D,,lol

Good luck w water leaks, man did it rain here today too Good luck finishing the break in.

really appretiate the well wishing, i need it, i thought i had a leak on the front 3 windows,, however upon further inspection i believe the water was traveling the tracks of the small slider windows and spilling over into the cabin.
also the new smileyface cutout in the front eising glass dripps right on the hinge of my cabin doors dead center,,,lol.
since the hinge is on the cabin side i covered it with electrical tape:facepalm:, top to bottomso the water runs int the cockpit step drain.
all good yesterday, but i will have to find a more permenent solution,,,,, or black duct tape,,,,,lol

as far as the trip saturday,,, if your around the beaver after 5 stop in and say hi, i gotta work in the am, but it would be cool to meet you, gimme a ring when your in the area. i hope you dont get into too much trouble, and hope the trip goes smooth.
and on another note there is a wellcraft cc cuddy( looks to be 22-24ft) with twins and, 1 and a half outdrives, listed at 1000 on rt 65 in leetsdale, i bought a project boat from him once i bet 500 would seal the deal. it is a project but has sweet lines,,,,

great news,,,, the beaver is back to slow going for now,, so there will be an end to all that junk i sent down your way,,,bahahaha,,lmao,,,,,,,, how is your dock project holding up to this abuse?

funny story the beaver was sooo nasty that when i turned on the underwaters 2 nights ago the didn't work,, or so i thought,, i pulled the switch tested it, cut the wires and ran it straight to power with no luck,,, till i got on the platform and looked down under to see if i had some wood stuck under it, and saw the faint glow,,,,, oh brother,,,but i needed to replace that switch anyway,, bahahaha,,,lol

the admiral and i have been at the boat daily,,sweet. we clear the dock and end up watcing the boob tube cause the weather won't submit. still cant believe 5 channels in the slip crystal clear,,,thats some effective wifey lure,,,,bahaha.
i can see the ol nintendo(yep i said it) making an apperance soon down there,, she loves to play them ol games, but not until the lure loses its effectiveness:eek:, bahahaha,,,lmao
hope everyones makin headway

Re: 89 Fiesta Vee 250 setbacks, projects, and upgrades!

agreed, a& b are key,,, lol.
the river finally calmed down a bit today, it was windy as all heck yesterday, but i did get alot done, starbrite deck cleaner on the nonskid,,,,wow that suff works great!!!!!!! it lightened up, and today i had hardly any yellow streaks,, i am impressed. tomorrow i will coat with he woodys non skid spray to keep it nice although the starbrite has the magic non stick as well. also got the windows stripped and re caulked. also i got a spray from oh for he eising glass that absolutely lives up to the hype,,, it brought my non replaced side windows for the campertop back to almost new condition.
she is standin tall fellas and i am a proud papa,.,,lol.
my bro came down to put the last hour of breakin run with me tonite,,, and too funny, he asked where it was,,, than once i pointed it out( only boat still in upper dock) he asked me ifi painted a new stripe on her:D:D,,,,
he didn't believe it at all that it wasn't. lol,,,,, it does look great,,,:D. we took her out for a spin, burnt the last hour up, and on the way home i realized the new bar on the river had there rgb's a glowin,,,bahahaha i matched the patern,,, too cool.
i did get some video of the roostertail(bros phone) but we are all at his mercy as to when he'll upload it,,,,yep i cant wait to
got her up to 2500 rpm and she dropped on a plane,,,, shaweeeeeeeet. great feeling.

now the oil change and next step for the engine:D

Awesome man, everything sounds like its coming together. Its great when your dad gives you a pat on the back even when he doesn't know he is doing so.

Look forward to the rooster tail pic. I am sure your mechanic has told you, when you are breaking in to wot, don't leave the motor at a certain rpm for more than a few minutes at a time, you want that motor to break in evenly across the rpm range. Wot should be not for very long at all until broken in completely. %0 hours is a real good number I live by.

To answer your question , the deck project will be stronger than it ever was. It is a beast of a project, but we are decking her now and just have one finger left to finish adjusting, bolting, leveling, addiign framing, anchoring etc etc etc. lol

Its coming along, will be posting updated pics in a few minutes. Happy boating over the weekend. By the way, i will have to find out what the guy has on his boat, but a friend of my dads gets like 40 channels without cable on his boat and he is down in a deep gully. i will be installing the same thing as he has. Its some sort of little box. :p Its been almost a year since i looked at it, but no external antennae at all.

I prefer playstation, I like my war games and blowing things up,lol. :D:eek:

Re: 89 Fiesta Vee 250 setbacks, projects, and upgrades!

thanks for the break in advice it is appretiated and noted.

i didn't get a powered antenna, but it is on the list of to do's:D. also since the wifey lure will end up loosing its effectiveness over time,,,
phase 2 ninetendo,, phase 3 playstation 1,,,,,,, should help spread out the lure over time,,,, bahahaha lmao,,, bahahaha,,,,,, hope she dont read this,,,,,,,,,
