Agree with your mechanic, if it will not stay in the water, there is no need for the Mercathode
So far as the fill of the tank, I leave mine where ever it is when winterized. In most cases I leave it with only a 1/4 tank. Never had boat gas go bad over the winter and I don't use stabilizer. Will also say I use 100% gas with no ethanol anymore, but when I did, I did not use stabilizer I my boat.
The wrench I showed you comes from Hill Marine. They make 4x4 B3 props and I am the first one which was made the style wrench seen in the pic. Previous versions did not have the smaller socket go clear thru. I needed it to go clear thru because I have a zinc installed on the prop shaft end (new Bravo 3). They heard about the change but never has someone ask for it.
