If sitting in a dry boat in the driveway is wrong, then I don't wanna be right!! :D

After a few beers you won't care about being a dork anyways!!

Nope on the dork thing.

I guess I'm a dork too. :)

I just asked my mother in law if my father in laws does this.

She laughed and said "All the time, men and their boats."

My buddy had a dog that would sit in the boat all the time, just waiting for his next ride, I always thought that was pretty cool, not dorky

My vote is NO!

We did that most of the weekend in the garage while working on the boat instead of using it. The weather didn't cooperate so we had nothing better to do!

Ha, when I had my 21' caddy cabin parked in my driveway a few years ago, I stayed on the boat overnight a couple of times.

I plan on doing that too ! ahahaha ! maybe with a woman from the neighborhood that I know !

I came up with the name for my first boat while sitting in it listening to the new stereo with my neighbor and getting hammered that night on her , in front of my apartment on the trailer.... " Breaking Wind".... not hard to figure out how we came up with that one.... :D.... transferring the name to my new sweetheart pictured below... :D

Sitting in your boat on dry land is definitely NOT a dorky thing to do! However one must be careful when doing so. A few years ago, I was engaging in that very activity when I heard the phone ring in the house. In my haste to answer it, I fell out of the boat and broke my wrist.

Now for the kicker: I was totally beerless at the time and hadn't even sniffed anything alcoholic in several days.

Did you ever try to convince anyone that you were sitting in your driveway, cold sober, fell out of your boat and busted your arm?

I got a whole lot of knowing looks and "yeah, rights" until the danged arm healed.

Dork if you were drifting. Not dork if you were tied off to the porch.

Dork if you were casting. Not dork if you were trolling.

Hey JZ, you weren't wearing a life vest, were you? If not, you're not a dork.

I'm a huge dork too.

Should've seen the look I got from my ol'lady the night when I finished wiring in new running and cabin lights... yes I was sitting in the boat at midnight, in the driveway, boat lit up like an xmas tree.

Only if you where making motor noises as well :D:D

I second that. I've lounged in my boat on land plenty of times. Your neighbor is just jealous he was not invited over to join you.

Ahhh yes the ever expanding club of Driveway Captains. I can't wait. It is noce to know that I will be in good company when I get my boat. I always say sometimes you have to embrace your inner dork and share it with the world. Those that make fun just wish they could do it themselves.
