Re: Another Florida Summer Roundup

'God willin' and the water stays high!' It gives us something to shoot for. PS we will be leaving Titusville in a couple of hours then off to Eau Galle where we will be picking up our reconditioned props tomorrow or Saturday. then probably a stop over at Vero then down at Sasto's where we are hoping to stay long enough to get the walkway rails and anchor straightened and some fiberglass work done. That should give us enough time to collect another Ss check, fill the fuel tanks and see what more mischeif we can get into! Let's hope by the time we get back to fireman's we know what the heck we are doing! the old girl is tough and so am I, so if the Skipper can keep us off the snadbars and bridges, we will see you all soon for a talllllll toddy or two.
In the meantime, stay green.

We are here and waiting, Carole n Skip. Keep the dirty side down and you will be fine.

Do you have Skipper Bob's handbook of the ICW? A must if you don't.

NO!! The last thing we want is Skip readin' while he's behind the wheel! Better plan is to keep a look out for the big sticks in the river with the red and green things on top. I've found them useful when floating around...:D

Fireman, yu are so on it! the computer is on a stand to his left, the guide book on the right and the wheel turning which ever way he's lookin' was the first issue. Then following Active Captain directions without a good look around, might have been the final straw. I joined him in the helm yesterday and we had a great passage to dragon point and a solid anchor in the cove to wait for our props to be delivered. I am not saying a woman's touch is needed, but a second set of eyes and an occasional second opinion can sometimes be helpful. I guess that's what makes a team. Ours anyway. Boy am I gettin' grey and wrinkled! But I have to admit the vodka in my breakfast juice helped!!
Reallyyyyy looking forward to seeing Sasto and Kimi in a few days. Later, and stay green y'all.

LOL....All the studying and planning is done at the dock or anchorage. I find the guide helpful on anchorages and bridge information.

Looking foreward to seeing you again!

Thank you VH! We miss you guys as well. Sasto, Kimi, NLain & crew...even the ones we spent only a few moments with. Actually, those guys are the closest ones around (Mnypitboat, NSBCraig, Alexr254, Coolguy147....I'm talking about you!)

When we get more in place, Stick and I will set a date and I'll start another thread. Maybe we can get some of these lurkers to come out of hiding and join in on the reindeer games!

did somebody call my name? :D

Well, we have had practice setting our anchors in Dragon Point Cove, Eau Galle. I would feel a lot better getting the big danforth straightened, but it held better last night with no back anchor. We turned quietly and quickly with the high tide and held all night. We will probaly be on a ball tonight. We awoke to two dolphins puffing outside our open cabin portlight. Cool. The props look great. Mike Hall in Christmas does some nice work. We can now send in our claim and maybe retireve some of our expense. FUEL MONEY, Yay.
Fireman, I was razzing on Skip, we do have the GPS and computer at the helm, but are taking notes about bridge names and heights beforehand and trying to geta picture of where we are going before we move. Loving the clearer water. We put a light off the dinghy last night hoping to get some shrimp, but saw some big fish. So tempting to try to net!! Nice. gotta drink my coffee and get going. Later

Well, it sure looks like the tides are turning in your favor, When things are going as planned, that's what makes the trips so much fun. The dolphin, sunrises ans sunsets, cool breezes, etc. makes me glad we'll be out on ours today for the first river booze cruise of the season.

"A haven" is a terriffic description of sasto's place!!! When we were there last year, The time we had was indescribable. It was a long weekend(not long enough, though) of great times, great people, in a great place. I'm glad you're there. Wish we(the whole crew) were all there together!!!

Fair winds and calm seas to ya on your voyage to bluer waters!!! Stay safe, and as sasto says, "Keep the dirty side down;)"... Love that expression!!! All credit goes to sasto.

It's not hard to find friendly, happy folks, that live onboard, traveling the waters as you do. Nice to have you around, and being one of us. The only thing depressing around here is a cloudy day......and there's no cloud hanging over my head!:D

Always on the same sheet of music, my Friend. Great minds think alike.:D

I guess it'll be no later than June that we'll get together again. You'd mentioned traveling to or through Georgia at some point. Anything happening with that? Will we be getting together prior to June?

I was hired to take a Sportfish from Savanah to Turks and Caicos, veritas honus. The owner came down with an illness and everything is on hold. But.....You just never know about me!

The gathering that keeps on gathering. Skipper and Mate/Engineer arrived about a week ago. We have been taking care of our boats in the day....and playing in the evening. The 4 of us went fishing last night. They....I said THEY...caught some croaker, snook, sheepshead, runners, snapper, seatrout, and catfish. I'm just the deckhand!

We wish the rest of you were here.
