The answer is E=Mc2.....when you get going that speed YOU BECOME ENERGY.......but Einstein had trouble tying his own shoes too.....
E=MC2 only calculates how much energy would be released should all of the matter be converted, as in a nuclear reaction such as fusion or fission. It tells nothing about the the state of the matter.
A more appropriate statement would be in line with the general theory of relativity that states as an object appoaches the speed of light it's apparent mass increases to the point where, at the speed of light, it has infinite mass. (Think of being hit by a slow moving ball and the same ball moving quickly.) Thus
at the speed of light the power required to incease its speed further would be infinite. The exception to this rule are particles called takyons, which are believed to travel faster than light. At the moment they are only theoretical, but there is a lot of evidence to support their exsistance.
