Comcast cable. It shows a connection speed of 100.0 Mbps. I've been at it now for 20 or so minutes and it has only done 2%

Also, Xcusme, what kind of program will I need to get on the internet with Linux?

Edit: Hmmm! The download box just went away. Was D/L'ing it to my desktop and there is no sign of it. It couldn't have been past 15% when it disappearedOriginally posted by Xcusme:
7.35K/sec hmmm, what you got there?? Cable DSL?? It sure ain't dialup...

If that's a slow server, I can find you a faster FTP site if you need it.
Okay on Konqueror. I just restarted the KNOPPIX Download. It's running at 216 kb/sec and climbing. Thanks!Originally posted by Xcusme:
The 100Mbs is the NIC (network Interface Card). Depending on your area, you should see d/l's in the 300K-400K range. That server is probably slow. It shouldn't take more than 30 or so minutes to d/l.

When you get it going, look an application called Konqueror (web browser), there's an icon for it.
