583 pounds of pot found in Fort Worth home 11:54 AM CT

FORT WORTH - A man arrested Wednesday in a drug raid that netted more than 500 pounds of marijuana bonded out of jail early Thursday.

Oscar Robles, 29, was taken into custody during a raid at his home in the 6000 block of Longmont Trail in far northwest Fort Worth. Tarrant County sheriff?s deputies began investigating Mr. Robles after receiving an anonymous tip, said sheriff?s spokesman Terry Grisham. Authorities also seized more than $50,000 in cash from the house, Mr. Grisham said.

Mr. Robles was released around 4 a.m. Thursday after posting a $25,000 bond. He is facing charges of marijuana possession and probation violation.

Mr. Robles has a conviction for assault with bodily injury.

Three young children were found in the home and placed in CPS custody.

500 lbs and all he got released on a 25 grands bail? Wow, looked like the risk of doing business in TX is not that bad. Maybe they're releasing the tuna to get to the shark, something is fishy about that story anyway.

Thats what reallt got me too. He only has to pay 10% of the bail so $2500 and he had $50, 000 in the house. That ain't didly!

Well, it's my HO as well, but it has been well established that expressing that particular opinion here is verboten...

I thought that pro-legalization posts were what got the big iron door slammed shut in the first place.

but 500 pounds sure is a lot of "medicine"...

i worked in a prison for 9 years, the pot dealers were some real dangerous fellas...like the beaver trapper from western nebraska. population 10.....4 years, for dealin pot.... $23,000 a year for incarceration back in the mid 90's. bet it's a lot more now....yer tax dollars at work keepin dangerous folks off the streets........or from payin taxes.......

For those of you who didn't know me before the door got slamed shut on us I'm with HM on this one. I have one question. Do you want to keep fighting a war that has lasted over 20 years waisting your tax dollars and in reality makeing things worse? Its getting time to step back and take a different look on things. Well I started the thread so I reckon I can screw it the rest of the way up. As a former cop (nine yrs) and as a Correctional employee (14 yrs) I say legalize it. Me and Animal/Bro Haut finally all agree on something.

This might sounded like a straight up conspiracy theory but if it was legalized then there wouldn't be any money to go around like when it was illegal. Those who are getting the most profit won't let it happen.
