Auto trailer lock

So, I'm looking for ways to get my trailer and boat off of the ramp a little quicker and more efficiently.
Doesn't someone make or sell a device that locks onto the bow eye when you get the boat all the way on the trailer? I usually walk up to the bow, lean over the front and hook up the winch strap, snug it up, and have the wife pull out. I'm looking to automate if possible.

If it matters, it's a 21' Reinell bow rider.

Easy. 2 wives. One to drive the truck and one to hook the line.

Thanks I was due another laptop!

Honestly Yota I think you just need to optimize your system some, heres mine see if you think it would work for you...

obviously launching is pretty straight forward, we prepare in the Quagga mussel inspection line I get the wife in the boat, the teenagers can help themselves, I hand her everything from the truck and the teenagers get the cooler, she raises the outdrive off the trailering blocks and I remove them, and she hands me the plug and I remove the transom straps and install the plug.

So now I am driving the truck, I back down the ramp get the boat floating and load the family, wife lowers the outdrive and starts the motor, once I hear the 454 fire its my que to unhook the chain and winch strap and the wife backs her off, I go park the truck and the wife picks me up at the dock and I drive from there.

Loading is just the reverse.

My wife cannot back the truck with a trailer......ok even without the trailer she can't but what she can do better then me is drive the boat on the trailer, 100% better then me, it takes time and patience believe me I have buffed the marks from the bow roller off the bow of my boat more then a couple times but after about 10 times she makes me look like an idiot.

I don't know anyone that can do it better or faster and really you don't need to, if your wife is involved then just make it a team effort and be patient, she can do it she just needs your confidence in her.

What I am trying to say is your wife is the key to speeding you up at the ramp

Yup. The Boat Buddy is the one I'm looking for. WAAAAAAYYYY cheaper than a 2nd wife!

Mine does a great job. She can run either the truck or the boat. What I'm looking for is the ability to pretty much back the trailer in, throw the boat on the trailer, honk the horn (or some other signal), and pull the whole rig out.
I'm not in the biggest hurry in the world here, but we have some ramps that can get pretty congested. The less time I have to spend on it, the better.
Plus, I just don't want to keep reaching over the bow every time.

Thanks for the find! I knew what it was, but had no idea what it was called.
