Thanks Scott, I can just save that to my favorites, and it beats the way I was getting to the forecast.

Yep, I bookmarked them and now when I type in m a r into my address bar, the forecast comes up.
I get it on my phone now too!

I should clarify, as long as it isn't the first weekend (2-3) I'm in. I am in a wedding that weekend. Otherwise I'm free and would prioritize that above all else! :D
I'm no good for the 2nd or 3rd either.

Well it looks like the 2nd or 3rd will work out the best for most of us! :p:p:D

Just kidding of course, you guys will make the party.

If we do this on a Saturday, we won't be able to make it till in the afternoon, as my wife's shop is open till 3. We'd prefer Sunday BUT if Saturday is better because of people's travel plans, that's fine, we can go out both days!

So how about the weekend of the 8th/10th?
We can plan it for both days to accommodate everyone?

What say ye, oh fine travelers of the mighty Chesapeake?

Where should we meet up?

I am hoping to get down Sat. also. How can I get in touch with you? Never crabbed from the boat before?

Where do you put in?

I can put in anywhere that's convenient; I'll be trailering from NJ.
I'm happy to take a recommendation for ramp location; Betterton, Elk Neck SP, Charlestown, Stemmer's Run...

I personally use the Lapidum ram at the Susquehanna state park, but for you it would involve paying a toll on 95 or 40, or crossing the dam on rt1. Probably out of your way. Some of these other guys can comment on the ramps you mentioned as I've never used them.
Depending on where we raft up, we could meet at Turkey Point or just at the site of the raft up?

Depending on the site for the raftup. I would think the easiest spot to get to would be NE md and Anchor Marine (less than 30 minutes from the DE memorial bridge). The raftup will probably be close to the Elk, and maybe Lloyds creek, and then Stemmers run would be the shortest boat ride. I just don't like all the 2lane roads and small towns you have to go through to get there.

Maybe you could put in in Salem NJ and just shoot across the DE river to the C and D Canal and into the Elk. that last one sounds like a lot doesn't it, but on the right day it would be a nice ride. I hope to make it down on the 9th, I haven't been told I'm busy that weekend, YET.

I'd rather not burn the gas through the 15 miles of the C and D. I'll drive across the bridges to DE or MD.

Still got my cell? I think I have yours. If I don't hear from you, I'll give you a shout. I might be down on the Chester river, though. I am currently waiting for Lime4x4 to show. Ooops, there he is, just pulled up. Gotta go........

We went out of Stemmers run on Satruday. It was really rough for my pontoon boat so we went back to the ramp. Unless the weather is really nice this weekend Saturday was my last outing for the season. I don't like going wading in cold water. I've been out looking for a new Trailer. I got some good prices. I may just put my older trailer up for sail in a couple of weeks .Half the price of a new one.The new ones have Disc brakes .

I went from Baltimore to Elk State Park and back on Sat. If was rough as hell mainly from all the wind. Hopefully weather is nicer for the raft up.

Where can I launch in De City? I'd make the run down the C&D with you.

If a bunch of y'all are running the canal on Sunday, I can join in the flotilla at Harbor North Marina.

If not, who's going when?

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

Look like I will be down on Saturday for the raftup if people can make it.

However, I will have to depart the raft up at 2pm to leave to pick my brother up at BWI who is flying in for my sisters wedding on Sunday.

Maybe I should take the boat to pick him up in Baltimore! :D

So we will be at the raftup early for those of you who can make it.

Where are we thinking of meeting at?
