What you repetedly imply ad nauseum is that Iraq is an Al Qaeda Statr

I've never said, nor intentionally implied that Iraq IS an Al Qaeda State, that is something you are reading into my posts. I have said, and believe that if we pull out of Iraq before it has a stabile Government it will become a safe haven for Al Qaeda and every other terrorist group, and that Iran will fund and train them for further attacks within the US.

If Iran develops Nuclear weapons you can expect those same terrorists with those weapons in a town near you.

But do we really need to keep on pissing them off which is only recruiting "terrorists" for them at a geometric rate with time? They have great wealth beneath their sands. Everyone wants their cut. And they want US to keep our hands off of it. Give the people a reason to Work and less reason the Fight and the problem will solve itself. Give every citizen in Iraq an equal piece of the action. A "share" of Iraqi profits from the honest sale of their resources. Shares are not transferrable. They live and die with the individual. Not as a means for a liviing, but a bit of income to buy nice things. Nobody wants to fight if they have the choice of living comfortably instead. Right now most don't have that other choice. Our Policing only continues to make things worse. The questions aren't so much how to control the terrorists as how not to create millions more, and how to make the fanatics Unpopular.

First you have to have stability and a decent chance of going to the store without getting shot for any of that to do you any good.

As for our troops kicking down doors and pizzing off the people, the only ones we will pizz off are the ones that are causing all of the violence.... the average "joe" that just wants to get on with his life will greatly appreciate an end to all that crap.

If you have been paying any attention, the tribal leaders are starting to tell US troops where the IED's are and where the bombers can be found.... they are even going so far as to capture the bombers and turn them over to us.

Of course you won't hear that on the liberal TV news.

You're right. I haven't been made aware of that. It is my impression that that happened early on and is happening less as time goes by. I hope I'm wrong. And I hope you're right about the average Joe being left alone in peace. But the enemy looks just like a friend and a lot of friends get killed that way, which makes whole clans of pretty unfriendly friends.

I hope this push brings peace. Time will tell.

My solution is immediate withdrawal, & get a draft going so we can bolster our ranks for the real fight....
Let them fight it out amonst themselves....
'W''s blunder has all ready left egg on the face of the US....
So, I say if they are gonna b!tch anyway, give them something to really b!tch about.....
If Iran & Syria get involved, we can redeploy our beefed up military.....
The real fight is all of them combined....
That oil will get pumped & sold eventually....
It's just a matter of time......JK

Cut and run now ( let them re-group and train the new surge in jihadists recruits . Start the draft again here (as if we need one). Come later back and fight them along with Iran and Syria. I bet your serious haut. Call Nancy, you got the plan..d:)

Wouldn't matter......
Dummy will do what he wants to no matter what anyone says....
Time to pull the rug out from under his feet.....
Time for him to pay for his blunder......;)

There were no WMDs. There was no immediate threat. Iraq didn't have crap to do w/911. It was a load of crap, but I bought it just like everyone else. Planting the seeds of demcracy in the midst of the middle east also was a load of BS. Iraq people don't have the huevos to stand up for themselves. If we stay, we're screwed. If we leave, we're cutting and running (from what I don't know).

Here's a plan all conservatives ought to get on board with. Let's just get the ground forces out. The whole region will break out in war and we can just nuke the whole damn place from ships and subs. We'll kill the whole middle east. It'll probably **** India off too and we'll get a bunch of jobs back.

Hmmm... That's why a recent poll in Iraq from average Iraqis suggest that more than 60% think it is ok to kill American soldiers.

Crunch, you keep reporting things you wish were true, rather than those things that are demonstrably true.

There is no doubt we are going to test out your escalation theory. You may as well start figuring out how to blame someone else for the failure of this now, as it is bound to fail. A policy based on a complete misunderstanding of what we face over there has little chance of success.

You neo-cons have been wrong every step of the way so far in this fiasco--there is no reason to change your record now.

"There must be a diplomatic/political solution."

Yup, there certainly must be. That's how we got out of Viet Nam. Ho and his commie gang agreed to stop trying to conquer S.V.N. if we would leave.

Two years later he invaded and conquered.

Now suppose UBL agrees to stop Jihad if we pull out of Iraq?

That's the most ridiculous statement I've ever seen you make on DC, JB.

Usually attempts at humor must have some semblance of reality to them.

Do you *really* think we are fighting UBL in Iraq?

And who is actually suggesting we negotiate with UBL?

Or is it, as I suspect, just a lame attempt at humor?

Why?... because he draws a parallel between Iraq and the Viet Nam war??

Indirectly, yes.

And who is actually suggesting we negotiate with UBL?

I believe that was a “catch all” for terrorists in general, but you would have to be paying attention to see that.

Or is it, as I suspect, just a lame attempt at humor?

Jokes on you. :p

Instead of making broad, unsubstantiated statements like that, give some substance, or do you even know how to post a link?... Can you Google me up something? :p

Re: Bush: If you don't like my Iraq plan, tell me yours

I would still like to see something from the left that aren't talking points. An original idea that might help win the war in Iraq. All any have done is parrot the dems in Congress. I know some of you are capable of doing this. Or is it true, what we on the right have been saying, you don't have an answer, just talking points? Or is it that you don't want us to win the war, just so you can say "I told you so"?

The idea of this thread is a good one, but like so many, it has turned away from the topic into I hate President Bush and the war. And the right defending him and why we went to war in Iraq. There are a lot of intellegent folks here, on both sides, is it even possible to have real debate without little jackass coments about "Duh'bya'"? Maybe not.

I really expected to see my post ripped apart. Please rip away, it's called a debate.
