glad i made that ravens money line bet,, i was worried after the power came back and the 49ers were kickin butt.strange game right.

yep were still down right now,we need someone with a really really big boat to put in mead to get water up ha ha ha.maybe big foot or alien spaceship might work!

Yea, I was a little disappointed in the 9ers 1st half. The lights going out was like changing the dealer at a blackjack table..switched everything up for them and down for the Ravens. Strange game but a good one

LOL,,I think I have calculated the size of the craft we would need to get the water level up to the ramp @ Gov't Wash:

*Density = mass /volume

Volume = mass / density

[Unit of volume =mass / density =kg / kg/m^3 = m^3]

Volume = 90 / 1030 = 0.087378 m^3

Therefore, an object is immersed in a fluid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object.
This became known as Archimede's principle.
The weight of the displaced fluid can be found mathematically. The fluid displaced has a weight W = mg.
The mass can now be expressed in terms of the density and its volume, m = pV. Hence, W = pVg.
m=mass
p=density
V=volume
W=weight
g=9.81m/sec^2

Answer : VERY BIG :D

Lets just buy more concrete and extend govt wash ramp down 100ft at least.

I hate when they change dealers when your playing blackjack.or worse shuffle cards

Anybody know where it is? No way of knowing what lake level, but looks like a cool spot.

Im thinking along the west bank and maybe noonish from the look of the shadows, possibly between calville bay and goverment wash lol.let me give google earth a visit

There aren't that many areas of the lake with the red rock formations like that. The mountains in the background look like the Virgin. Could be in the south end of Gregg, around Hualapai?

I was thinking same about the rocks. I am always looking at Craig's list. Would love a houseboat. Funny thing is I think I recognize the white an blue boat. Looks like a Spectra that I have seen at Mushroom. Not a lot of them that old and as pristine.

I zoomed in and looked for a name on the HB for a clue but couldn't find one. I don't recognize it from TBar, but that don't mean much! :loco:
You're probably right on the boat, I was thinking Howard.

A friend just sold his HB he owned for 25 years.. It was dry-docked for the last couple years. Kids are in college now and doing other things. Needed work to get it back in the water by now I'm sure. The covered slips @ TBar run 500-700/mo depending on size. If we ever went that route I would probably want a partner to handle slip fees along with maintenance. I haven't won the lottery yet. :concern:

The Spectra I saw came from either Callville or further. It was an older white haired guy and he pulled a ski racer all the way. It was like a family challenge to make it across the Basin.

Looks kind of familiar, Google Earth says Twin Peaks Cove, north of Echo a couple miles on the AZ side, 2.5 miles as the crow files.


Could be just north of Echo on the NV side too, there are red rocks in that area, but I haven't been over there in years...

I thought of that same area.. just a short trip above the islands

Could be Castle Rock area as well. Kind of near the entrance to the Dam. Arizona side.

Have to love google earth! I zoomed in (flight mode or what ever it's called) and the mountains in the background have the same skyline profile. Looks like it's Twin Peaks Cove, guessing those are the peaks in the background :D

I thought of that area, but the mountains didn't look right. That's a cool little cove with unique formations and a couple of beaches you can nab if you get lucky. It's a favorite destination when we're headed to the dam.

Being that it is not very far from Temple Bar, I need to visit Bonelli Bay. I keep having this "sell the boat" thought in the back of my mind... until I see pics like these.
