definitely yards probably a30 to 50 depending on tidal stage. You CAN drive closer to ramp, dump off your gear and pull back to the parking areas but in practice it is easier to have your vehicle and boat closer to one another for assembly/ disassembly. In either case, this IS among the easiest of the launch sites... so.... lol. We had a blast. Definitely nice to look around me and see my "blow up boat brethren" on the water. Will try to get pics uploaded asap

I love watching you guys out there!

In the very first video, where you're pulling the boats, what's that big building? Is that a hangar in Floyd Bennet?

- no more coffee before boating
- do not deflate the boat before removing the outboard !

Unless you got one of those portable bucket toilets. I do not recommend coffee before boating. I am a coffee junkie and thats the only time i do not drink it

Hey Pascal.. sorry we didn't get to see you off for the day... we had one man down and I do NOT leave anyone behind. Weimed told me he made sure you made it to the ramp safely. :) Yes no coffee or tea... though I drank enough water to go twice!! Motor away... take care of your needs... rinse your hands... and back to boating, lol.

@Ira.. yes that is the Hangar at Floyd Bennet. I imagine it was in better shape when you last saw it, lol. Glad you are enjoying the videos... lord knows we were having fun making them, lol. Maybe some of will make it down your way one day!! Beautiful thing about an inflatable... no 60 mph hwy trailer nightmares!

OK
You have a picture, now give us the story;)

Exactly how big is that Rockfish. ( Striped Bass to some)
I'm guessing 32 inches 15 pounds or so:cool:

He is one of two.. the smaller was 33" (very good eye on you- most can't get size or weight right in person!) the larger 36"

We were trolling my special hand painted bunker spoon. I airbrushed a fairly life like bunker (menhaden/ pogy) representation on one side and left the nickel finish on the other. The two were caught within minutes of one another as they were pushing the bait up to the surface and I slow trolled right through them! Also caught the first reported (to my knowledge) bluefish of the season in Jamaica Bay so things should be heating up. Weimed is picking up some of the spoons and I will be giving them the VanGogh treatment as soon as I can.

I personally like the 2 piece ugly stick combo from modells for around 50-60 bucks comes with a shimano reel i believe. If you go to a mom and pop bait and tackle store expect to over pay. Buy that rod/reel combo and 30lb test line and come with us i will let you use one of the lures i ordered or you can order some yourself. Different fish require different equipment. i ordered the huskie devle brown trout Eppinger Lures
