A '93 has a 1 piece cowling, not the clamshell that this one has.

A picture of the carbs will let us know if they are wmv or wmk. I think the wmv were used on early models, and didn't have idle mixture adjustments. Later models had adjustable idle mixtures.

Chris 1956 this motor sat for 9 years we rebuilt the carbs replaced the water pump and replaced the Thermostats and poppet valve, the motor is running and sounds very strong the problem we are having is we can't close the cowl with the choke plate cover on, we don't know if it's the right choke plate or not we tried 2 different ones

i could not honestly answer that ,possibly yes? the 200 was later , mine was defiantly a 150 .
as another poster said , the transom mountings changed ," from memory "this motor is the first with the updated transom bolt pattern that conformed with other manufactures and it had the trim assembly integrated.
OP ? does your motor have a red flywheel.

the prop and gear box are larger hub IE: same as Mercruiser stern drive.

i still have the gear box , flywheel cover and air box cover in the shed as i sold that motor as a parts motor and was left with some spares.

I'm a little vague on details as many motors have passed though my shop since then.

Want to put a wager on that?

Top stripe black, then brown, then orange then yellow
I likely would, if we were closer 😂. Definitely sticking with the used to be red at the top and used to be green at bottom…

Edit…all that was until I saw the other parts of the engine. I’d have lost money @Scott Danforth 😂

Once you find out the year of the powerhead, you can determine if the airbox is correct, and if the airbox is correct for the clamshell cowling.

Choke plates were d/c in newer models, The orginal V6 motors cane out in 1978, with choke plates. Not sure when they went the way of the Dodo.

The original production V6s were introduced in late summer 1975. The choke was replaced by the Enrichment system in the early 80s
