Hi,
Just get a new(er) Yamaha 90 2-troke and start enjoy boating. You can not be in that garage any longer. It is 262 lb (119 kg) and probably the lightest 90 hp 2-stroke You can find among newer 2-stroke outboards. Your boat should be able to carry that or? Or try You luck with an Evinrude E-tech 90 if You have a budget for that (but it is rather much heavier than the Yamaha 90).

Re: Cruise Craft Restoration

thanks guys.
Realgun, I check compression and did all the work before repainting and decal, low and behold during testing she blew. BUMMer.
Bo, Im looking for a mid to late 90's 90hp, that's as far as the budget will stretch.

cheers

If you could find a Merc in fine shape, but ugly looking, you could just swap powerheads, and get benefit of all your work on exteriour finish. They show up on ebay, quite often.
