it is suppose to be like this for atleast a week.

strawberry farmers are freaking. the plants just started to bloom well. the can use sprinklers for a night or two, but more than that, they will drown the plants.

Kind of strange that it has been warmer in Dallas than Jacksonville this year...

Nevermind Dallas...it's warmer in parts of CANADA! Better watch out or all the american retirees are going to be moving north for the warmer winters!

Sorry, Ken..gonna be 28 for around 4 hrs tomorrow night...and we are a few hundred miles South....

But when you get back in April things will be just fine!

Hey, TD, You may have to winterize.....

Make sure there's no water in those tubes!

I will take some warmer clothing then !!!

Here in Ft.Nelson (northern B C canada) it is a balmy 20 below zero F . Last week it got down to -40 F . When you are outside then and have to have a whizz you have to walk backwards while enjoying the relief or things will get plugged up. Kinda pretty seeing all those gently curved yellow ice-cycles sticking up out of the snow.

we are in for a week of mid 20's nights. this can not be in Florida.

Windbreaker is about the heaviest clothing we own. Anything else only would only get worn for 1-2 days out of a year...

Almost midnight and it is 25 degrees my toes are cold

And I have to put up with this for a week.....

Wear many layers of clothes for maximum warmth out there. Mind you it's not really that cold there you know !!!
We would be out in T shirts and shorts here in Canada !!!

Sorry.had too. We already had 3 snowfalls including a Blizzard.
It has warmed to 18?, except we are having brutal winds today and the past few days. Sustained winds on 25mph with gusts to 50mph. Makes the wondchill well below zero. I forgot to plug my truck in last night, so the old diesel will shake like a dog trying to *** a bone when it first starts.

12 degrees F this morning. Steady 30kts gusting to 45kts. Fifteen foot waves in the inlet. Leaving the Island to spend the afternoon in New York City Rockefeller Center with the family (brrrr!) and the in-laws in New Jersey for dinner. Haven't been in the ocean for 3 weeks with the weather. Hoping for a break soon to hoist some cod!!!!

Well it has been snowing here for a few days..... I plowed 6" out of the yard yesterday and a fresh 8" from overnight..... they are anticipating 18" more in the next 24 hrs.

Temperatures are comfortable and it has risen to 10 from 4 earlier this morning.

Did I mention the wind? Oh that's the fun stuff. Makes 8" of snow into 48" drifts....... creates some spectacular white outs too.

Any of the snow people here know the rules..... Plow with the storm. I have pushed my yard back extra wide to accommodate the additional snow expected.

Aye it's been getting cold at night, but I love the fact that it doesn't stay below freezing. I'll take the 40s/50s any day of the week.

I spent a Christmas in MN one year & swear I've never been so cold in my life. It hurt to breathe. Did a few passes with a snow plow & was done. I'm sure one could get acclimated to that climate, but it ain't for me.

Hi, Dave..how are ya? Yeah, you guys on the water have it made. We went fishing from here a few weeks ago. I awoke to 33 and it warmed to 37 as we were pulling out. As soon as we pulled up to the ramp, the outside temp read 53. The water temp that day was a balmy 61.....but enough that all the land around it was 15 degrees warmer than inland.
