Looks like they worked it out and will be back for the new season of Deadliest Catch, ahhh, the sweet green allure of the almighty dollar!

Couldn't agree with you more skargo, in fact I was surprised they didn't hold out longer then they did, I guess Discover had more money to throw at them then I thought they did.

I'm tired of Ice Road truckers as well but seeing parrot be good at something finally is a plus what a freaking drama queen!! Lisa is kinda hot though I keep waiting to see her in a bikini on the Dalton!!

The swamp shows are weird to me, maybe its because they subtitle it since I have no idea what they are saying and they are supposedly speaking english?

As I said earlier, this show was done for several years ago when the decided they had to create conflict to keep people watching. Kind of like most, if not all, other "reality" shows. Real reality is kind of boring to watch.

Seems to me that most of the successful reality shows become victims of their success. As others have said, after a little while, reality gets boring.
So the producers try to encourage conflict to amp things up and keep the audience, at which time the show ceases to be a true reality show.

Ever watch Hells Kitchen? In the first few seasons, Gordon Ramsey would occasionallly get pissy, now 8 seasons later, you fart the wrong way and he has an absolute meltdown, throws things, and acts like a manic for almost the entire show.
Same with Judge Judy. Now all she does is yell and berate the people on her show.

As far as DC, I could watch another season, but we'll see what they try and do with it this year to amp it up. Hopefully nothing too obviously scripted.
