to uphold the laws and the constitution of the United States of America. If these citizens have committed treason then does the president not have a duty to see them brought to justice?

That's not The Presidents job, it's The FBI's, or The Attorney General.

I wish he would run them up the flag pole, but this kinder gentler, administration would rather we give them a pass. Just imagine how the liberals would come off their rockers talking about everything but the specific offense like say the past dozen posts.

LOL.... that's the liberals stock in trade.

"That's not The Presidents job, it's The FBI's, or The Attorney General. "

Google "Presidential Oath of Office".

"Please be specific to when he didn't. "

I only get one? Google "Habeas Corpus".

You can have as many as you want.

How has Habeas Corpus been violated? Provide a link please to a reputable source.

What do you consider a "Reputable" source? Sorry, but if Rush is your only acceptable source, we have a problem. Well, maybe not "we", just you. ;)

Oh yeah, and O'Really too. I almost forgot about him. I need to try harder to forget things from now on. :%

I'll be generous, 'tis the season, so ABC, NBC and CBS. Heck even the Clinton News Network. Does that work for ya?

If you guys ever get your radios and TVs tuned away from Rush, O'Reilly, and Fox news, let me know. You guys need to hear some current events. This has been covered ad nauseum for weeks ... months ... years now on the real media stations.

So in other words, you can't backup what you say? Fair enough.

Exactly what law has been broken?

DUH=The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) of 1978

Here’s the full text and the link, next time do some work yourself.

And the authority Bush is using is, in the judgment of Republicans as well as Democrats, highly questionable. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a military lawyer before he came to Congress, said that when he voted to authorize the use of force against the perpetrators of the Sept. 11 attacks, "I never envisioned that I was giving to this president or any other president the ability to go around FISA carte blanche."

No tree, you make the remark, YOU state the fact, YOU do the research to back it up.

treedancer, you may not have noticed but, if you don't include references, bibliography, and footnotes to every post, Capt. Crunch will tell you there's no credibility in your post.

Haven’t paid much attention lately, I have him on my ignore list, the only time that I can see any of his post is when I get on dock side with out logging on .any other time he comes up as an ignored user.

And that is why you get so much cr@p here that is being said. Folks don't, can't or won't backup what they say.

If it's an opinon, fine that is your right. But if you are accusing someone of something, then have the guts to back it up with facts, not just yacking cause you can.

What the hill are you talking about Eric? Can you point to any post that that I have ever posted that I couldn’t back up? You might not believe what is in front of you but I have back up for every statement that I put up. As per this.

<<<Plainsman inquired after I posted this. >>> Why, did the White House circumvent a law passed by Congress, the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which requires intelligence services to obtain search warrants before intercepting international communications inside the United States?

Exactly what law has been broken?

I thought it would be as plain as could be in the original post but I went ahead and answered it again any way with this from the originals post (the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) I add the (FESA) I edited the post by taking out the great big” DUH” from the original post because I thought it would be rude, you will notice that I put it back

That was not directly pointed to you Don. We have all done it, just tired of folks stating something as fact without backing it up. I am sorry if you took offense,

If a law has been broken, why no charges? Even if had been a rep controlled congress, the dems could have made a sink of it.

Let me give you something to think about, a reporter is just that, he or she research's a topic and sift's thourgh lead's ascertain's the best info he or she can do and report the result's in a unbiased fashion....there was a time that was the way it was done.

When you see a reporter giving a story and a polictical slant it's no longer the new's..........its become's a analyst version of fact's.............and there are too many empty headed (reporter's) giving just that .........there opinion's and if they were or could be taken to task they would be made fool's of, making them very poor analyst's.

I grew up with watching a very good reporter, he was hard hitting factual and dug to the bottom of a story. Looking back i think it is safe to say he has done a lot of good for this country as a whole. In fact he became so successful he became the top anchor or a major network.....and after a while the those in power stated he was to hard hitting to much in your face.........to factual. And yes he turned his style down to one of a more PC style and in the end it was his undoing......... a kind of tradgey if you ask me, his show was 60mins and he captured the nation's trust.........You know Dan Rather........... remeber him
