No, 12Footer. You didn't break the rule about attacking individual members, but you did inflame another member into doing it by demonizing those in Congress who talk about defunding.

And so I need to apologise because I "inflamed" him? right. Don't hold your breath, JB. I get inflamed over comparisons to the brutality of Christianity and Islam. (duh don't axe me why), but I respect the ability to hold a 2000 year old grudge.

So far, I have not received an apology from rabbit, nor do I expect one. He lost his cool totally, and unlike his elected officials, I am here to read it. Don't get me wrong, I dislike being called a jackass. I'm human (honest)... And I realise he meant what he said. I just chose to let it slide considering the subject and how close to the heart he carries his hatered for the war and those who chose to inlist.
This whole thing is silly in a way, but it has indeed gotten under my skin now. Now, I'm "inflamed". :devil:

A little something I learned in the gubment school playground: I'll stand fast to what I feel is right ,and only consider adjusting my opinions as I feel it would be the right opinion. I may loose the fight, but I'll leave with my bloody intergrity intact.

This thread is about just that. Traitorism -- treason, porpaganda propagation, as they relate to the war on terror, and our ability to call such treason out in a public forum. (the best on the internet still)..
I understand fully the requirement of civility here, as in ANY forum. but that should NOT require passivity or tollerence of propaganda ,esspecially spread by the hand or mouth of our own counrtymen. Or should it? Ok, so all of a sudden, the constitution is in-vogue, but just this subject? Right. We can't trash traitors in our senate, but we must allow mock mood's propaganda to be "freely expressed" without any expression of outrage? Right.


If so, I am out-of-place here all of a sudden.

People so easily "offended" or "inflamed" need to get some fortitude!

The only thing that I see as pathetic is the actions of Libby, and his boss, in outing a covert agent after not getting the backing to go into a war that they were determined to get .

As for the two year old posting, look at the headlines of the last week where there not talking about “Anna” you just might see something about a trial going on concerning Mr. Libby.

Well, yes, OMR, I do. It is at least as much so as Christianity.

People interpret their religion in various ways; some peaceful and passive, some evangelical, some warlike.

Several entire civilizations have been destroyed in the name of Christianity. Some radical Muslims seek to destroy western civilization in the name of Islam. It isn't the first time.

That doesn't make either Christianity or Islam a warlike religion, but they could both learn something important from Judaism.

The "If you aren't like me you must change or be destroyed" syndrome is a syndrome of man, not of religion.

I don't know 12, I guess I don't see them as deliberatly conspiring to lose the war, and I have doubts they are deliberatly conspiring against this country. I think they really truely believe they are doing the right thing, and not looking at the big picture, and what the long term outcome could be. If they can be considered traitors, then I guess it would be that they are traitors by action, not intent. I think clueless shortsightedness may be a little more accurate that traitors.

I have disagreed with how the war was done in the past because there were better tactics that could have been employed, and better priorities, but I have never wanted our boys to have funds cut. I just want the problem resolved, and I want our boys to be given the means to do that. I think it's time to just look at what can be done to solve our CURRENT problems, and pulling the troops out and cutting funds is not going to do anything but de-stabilize the region and make life even more difficult down the road.

I still think there will be another terrorist attack on our soil, I think what we have done over in Iraq has prevented little. It took many years to plan 9/11, more than has gone by since this war started, so it is way too soon to say we have actually prevented terrorism by our action in Iraq. We still need to achieve a functioning society in Iraq that can live in relative peace for the sake of some kind of stability in the region.

Preventing terrorism on our soil will be a function of intelligence and law enforcement, not wars on distant lands...

Yep, I been pondering that way to go, (when I get a little time). It would help me with my business, and I could watch all the eye candy as well. I still don't look my age, (don't have the baby elephant either, and all the hair and teeth are still there), and Lord knows I have never grown up, so I could pass for a 30 something permanent college student, (just like the old days in the Fraternity where there were some old geezers, [not quite as old as me but they were early 30s].
