You can get an Innotek system from Cabellas with enough extra wire to cover 2 acres plus 2 extra collars for $550.00. You could always expand that later too. I know right now is a tough time to be dealing with this. Christmas and all. $$ is tight. Just something to think about. You could probably find it cheaper on ebay too. Innotek is a good brand.
I don't know why I didnt think that Alabama got that cold. You know its slippery but its still a shock every time. When youre in the air anticipating the landing you know you have that face of shock. Then it hurts and youre mad and cold and if you dont get up soon you'll be mad cold hurt AND wet... AARGHHH. then ya look around to see if anybody saw how graceful you looked.

I'll half to keep my eye out for that brand shock system. I'll look on Ebay also. Appreciate the input.

Nope if you go to Jamaica maybe it will be nice and warm, we do have shorter cold spells then you all do up there, it was in the 70s earlier this week but the temperature changes really quick. We also seem to have a dryer winter or the winds can be really harsh. Living on a mountain doesn't help. I'm from Patersonville New York, between Rochester and Schenectady (or however you spell that). You may can see at times that moving to Alabama hasn't helped my spelling any :D, thank god for spell check. My father broke his leg while stepping out of his truck on to ice when we lived up there.

That's the brand we have. We bought ours at Bass Pro Shops. Seems like ours was less than that. Don't think I didn't look at some bass boats while I was up there either!:)

LOL Nandy

Just a little update, so far everybody I have asked about the "dog fight" has not heard of any fighting for hasn't heard of any complaining and they porsonally haven't had a problem with my dogs. I still haven't caught the one relative at home, don't know if I ever will. I have been taking pictures of the relative's dogs as they come on our land.

I took off on my 4 wheeler, heading up to my cousin's out back and my german shepard who normally follows me also followed me this time. I drove out back on my 4 wheeler to check on something work that my cousin was wanting to do when all of a sudden the other relative's dog comes up and attacks my german shepard that was following me and we wasn't even on the other relatives property.

Dogs follow the masters mind set. If you don't train them & leave them wander. They will get into trouble. If you don't care, then they won't. Nuff said.

I didn't mention in my last post that I didn't mind my German Shepard following me because he will obey my orders. He is really a good dog.

I have a laser pointer, (I know not to shine it in the dog's eyes). Anyhow I shined it in front of the gray female dog and she scurried away from it :D, I shinned it over in front of the black lab and he scurried away from it, I shined it over in front of the German Shepard and he went nuts. That dog chased that light all over the place, it was hilarious. He has chased the laser light in the past but I thought I would brake it back out and see what he would really do with it :D. It's funny to see the big dog chase that little red light, good exercise for him to.
