Another GREAT days cricket.<br /><br />Let me get my gloat out of the way first:<br /><br />Hayden, has anyone sent him his Primary Club application form yet, if not I've got one that I have never used. <br /><br />OK to the rest of the day.<br /><br />Not as barmy as yesterday even if the army were in better voice, a bit more like test cricket should be, a real competition between batsman and bowlers,(except maybe for Warnie, what the *%#@ was he doing).<br />My hat is off to Langer, without his innings the Aussie score sheet would look very sad, he had a great knock even after Harmison worked him over so well at the start of play.<br /><br />As for the England team it is hard to pick out 1 player' maybe Giles, it was a total team effort with everybody playing thier part.<br /><br />Main points of the day;<br /><br />Harmisons first over<br />Haydens wicket (worth 2 more)<br />Vaughans fielding to get Martin<br />Langers batting <br />Giles bowling marathon<br />Warnies wicket <br />2 wickets in 2 balls for Freddy (hatrick ball next innings)<br />The England teamwork<br />Warnies delivery to get Strauss.<br /><br />England have thier noses in front, the batsmen will have to get thier heads down and bat well tomorrow 400+ runs lead and I think the game is won.

My guess is for the Aussies to have any chance at winning this match, they'll have to bowl England out before tea on the third day for about 200 runs or under.<br />that'll leave them just over a days play to score approx 316 or so, i'm hoping that the wicket don't change too much into warnies favour.

Huh, we're not done for yet. If England get 200 it'll be a miracle. Warne's mobile's been reinstated and his text thumb/spinning finger is primed! As EF says, good day for England, well done you all played as a team. Good watching. Now I'm off boating once I get over this hangover!

O/K, lunchtime on day3.<br /><br />England robbed of at least two wickets (hawkeye & the knockometer thingy proves they were NOT out).<br /><br />Dispite what Boycott said, Brett Lee is a FIRST class fast bowler, not second class.<br /><br />Warnie strikes again!!!<br /><br />Bring it on!!

What a match! cricket at its best, England should mop up before lunch, that should give RPJS lots of time to down a few pints before heading home <br /><br />Well Triton II, England were all out for less than 200, it seems that as time goes on it gets a lot harder to score runs on this pitch, your team it appears have'nt done any better, of course that is to my delight

Yeah EF, (what's a cricket-lover like you doing in Texas?) but we've still got those three fine batsmen, Warney, Lee and Kasper to come and they only need 107! Ohh NOOO... we're scr3wed! <br /><br />Anyhow, well played Harmison and Flintoff, they did especially well. Hope they get it all over with early, I've got to work tomorrow!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! <br /><br />I must thank the England team for adding 20yrs to me in the space of 2 days.<br /><br />Ive got no finger nails left and I'm nursing the mother of all hang overs, I arrived at the ground today expecting to be home by 11.00, but Warnie, Lea & Kasprowicz batted out of thier skins, the atmosphere in that ground was electric, I had almost given the match up with the Aussies needing 3 to win, the roar when Kaspo was caught was unbelivable.<br /><br />Old Trafford is going to be a great game.<br /><br />Loads of pictures to post but they are going to have to come later, I must get some sleep.<br /><br />BTW I have got money on a 2-1 series win to England

It was amazing! To be honest, I think the better side won on the day. But never fear, oh lovers of the Motherland, Ponting and his boys will really start to fire up now. As for RPJS: you're one lucky SOAB for being there in person.<br />Roll on Thursday!

Thanks <br /><br />I have come back down to earth a bit now.<br /><br />I have never experianced anything like that before, even the army were stunned into silence at 1 point, Vaughan had to come over to the boundry to gee us up again.<br /><br />I had a couple from Australia sitting next to me on day 3/4 they had come over from Sydney, we got on great, they came back to my FIL house on Sat night for a BBQ and party and far to many beers, we were all non to well when we got to the ground Sun morning. <br /><br />I wish I had the words to discribe to you the atmosphere in that ground over the last 2 days, from the start of day 3 when Lea was on fire, to Pieterson looking like he was going to do the job, Flintoff hurting his shoulder before lunch and then comming out after lunch and taking Lea apart (that 6 was huge).<br /><br />Then Langer & Hayden started to look like you were going to get the runs, Flintoff coming on and getting wickets, the extra 1/2 hr. This was all on rollercoaster of emotion.<br /><br />Sunday was going to be a quick 20min to finish off, yeh right!!<br /><br />

All I can say is that there are some very short sighted stewards at Edgbaston, I've drunk more beer in the past 4 days than I did in the last 4mths. <br /><br />BTW It was confirmed in the UK press this AM, Hayden is now a fully paid up member of the Primary Club.
