OK guys got an interesting one for ya on my E75TLCRD

Carbs have been properly cleaned and rebuilt, link & sync done and we still have the same problem.

The lever on the solenoid is in the run position, on cold days (under 50 degrees F) the motor is a pain to start unless I trim the lever down about 1/8th of an inch. I removed the solenoid and tested it and it tests out good as far as the electronic specs.

On days above 50 she starts just fine without any problems, about the only thing I can think of is that there is a possibility of a cracked O ring inside the solenoid that when it gets cool enough it contracts enough to allow fuel to dump into the motor when not needed.

Or the lever on the solenoid may be just a bit off.

Any ideas........Joe, Boobie, F_R, Silvertip.....I know you are lingering out there somewhere.

Pull the lines off of the nozzles back of the carbs on that good cold day, crank the mtr over with the key pushed in and see how much fuel pisses out of them. That will tell you if you have primer system probs. The nozzles the lines go to could also be plugged. Have the red lever in the normal position. You also may have a bad solenoid. Now get back to the other post and give me answer Butt head II. LOL.

Well we have kind of established it's not working properly, the point is which part isn't working properly, it is a serviceable part, so rather than dumping $130-$170 for a new one I was looking for input from someone else who may have seen this issue before in order to diagnose it further and replace the needed part instead of the entire assembly.

I've seen the plungers sticking and about all you can do is replace the solenoid. Some how the outer portion of the solenoid swells up and won't let the plunger move freely.
