Growing up with a pretty sister

The "Why?" thread got me thinking about this.

When I was a teenager, my older sister (Also a teenager) was dating. She was and still is, drop-dead gorgeous. She was blessed with many assets and the knowledge of how to use them. I have yet to meet a woman who turns so many heads.

These guys would come over to take my sister out on a date. My Dad is the ultimate good-ole boy. He's 6'6" and about 260lbs. He?d be buddy-buddy with these guys while they waited for my sister to get ready. He even offered some of them beers (If they accepted, the date was over!)
Before my sister came out, and after my Dad decided that this guy was okay, he'd call 'em in close and give $40 bucks.
He would say, "You make certain my daughter has a good time. Treat her right."
He?d finish by telling them, "You do whatever you want with my daughter tonight, but remember... When you drop her off, I'll do to you, whatever you did to her."
Then he'd pucker his lips, blow them a kiss and wink at them.

They'd turn white.

My sister always wondered why guys didn't ask her out again.

thats good lol.. my sisters only 13 right now but getting to that age where she goes on dates.. well im waiting for the day the guy walks in the door and sees my dad 5' 10" 200lbs, me 5'8" 170 (im hitting the gym too small) and then my brother 6' 230 pretty much all muscle.. and my dads not the nicest guy in the world and my brother likes to yell just to scare people. kinda sounds like your dad

My sister, who is a year younger than me, was really gorgeous in her teens. We got along great...and...she had lots of pretty friends. Worked out great for me, too.

I have a 14 y.o. daughter who is into the whole trying to date scene. It is funny. The last two years we have thrown her a large birthday get together with all of her friends invited to the festivities. It seems that teenage boys are a little easier to scare than we thought. I am 6'2" 240lbs, and they are not afraid of me nearly as much as they are my 5'1" wife who weighs all of 125lbs. My daughter kept barking at me that I was intimidating the kids when they came around, but the truth came out one day.....and low and behold it was the wife they are afraid of. Now that is funny.

I take it that you're a dentist. When your daughter's boyfriends come around, give 'em a copy of Marathon Man and ask them, "Is it safe?" That oughta do it.

Had a cousin like that, but moved to another part of the country just when I was getting interested in her friends.

It got even better, though. The first couple of years my sister dated, my parents, who were pretty strict, only let her go on double dates. And there I was, a suitable date for one of her friends. I got to go out with several of her friends so I could be part of the double date.

She was happy. My parents were happy. I was happy. What a deal!

being 10 year older than my beautiful sister i missed that, the USN called. but at 50 she is still a knock out. here she and AL, my new BIL, they were married, on a catamaran sail boat off Keys West, August 28,2008. this is them leaving the house, to go to the boat. they were high school sweet hearts, he was quarter back, she cheer leader, then things took them their separate ways. they got back together 4 1/2 years ago.

being 10 year older than my beautiful sister i missed that, the USN called. but at 50 she is still a knock out.

I had 2 good looking sisters, one 4 years older and one 6 years younger (UNC Homecoming Queen). We had a single mom at the time so it was the brothers (I had 2 of them, too) that the guys were afraid to offend.

I also have 3 daughters that were teens at the same time in the 70s, but that is another tale for another time.

my older sister is 3 years older. worked out fine for me as well

now with my younger sister (11 years younger) I found out how easy it was to scare fellas coming over to pick her up. I would let my pops start his scary father deal and then I would pull the poor kid aside and say "Did my Pops scare ya? dont worry, its not him you need to worry about its me you should concern yourself with" I would always be sure to shave my head the day before and show up on my motorcycle wearing a wife beater (Im heavily tattoed BTW) just to add to the effect. for some reason a tattoed, shaved head biker Older Brother is somehow intimidating.....

. for some reason a tattoed, shaved head biker Older Brother is somehow intimidating.....

they always turn out to be some of the nicest people tho.. my neighbors son probably exactly like you and if i didnt know him i would be scared out of my mind.. but hes so nice and cares so much for his kids, wife, and all of the family.

more then once I have sat down with a scraggly looking biker guy sitting by himself at the bar. Just walked up, introduced myself and offered to buy the next round. 99 times out of 100 he is a super cool guy.

My sister was older than me by a bit but boy did i like it when she looked after me and her friends came over. The older woman thing was me. Yup i was 8 and thay were 16. I think i hit puberty at about that time.

Not so lucky here.. My two older sisters and friends had good personalities. Not horrible or anything like that, just plain.

One of my sisters was actually ticked that I was dating a cheerleader..

Sounds like I was at the receiving end of such a situation. First time I met my girlfiend parents, her dad took me down stairs and showed me his gun collection!

I have a two daughters, 5 and 3 years old. All I have to say is awesome! I want to be as clever as your dad was when mine are teenagers!

I've got a 3-yr. old girl myself! And keep 'em coming. I'm taking notes!!!
This is MY girl! I'm hoping she's an old maid and stays home with Dad.....My son adores her and I feel confident he'll help me keep a close eye on her.
