Are you ignorant or just plain stupid? When exactly did I say I was a democrat? Maybe you need to turn up your hearing aid, grandpa. I am not a liberal, and whether I am or not has ZERO to do with gas prices. Gas taxes are not the issue, that is a VERY small part of the price. If they got rid of them they would just have to charge more elsewhere, roads don't repave themselves.

No one was crying for me when I didnt know if I was going to have a job back in 99 (the price of oil at 9 dollars a barrel). I lost a lot of co-workers in that mess. No one cried when a lot of my friends here at work got laid off in 2004. Nope, not one tear. You were all buying huge trucks that get 10 MPG when gas was 99 cents. The oil companies spoiled you. How soon you forget.

I have yet to hear all you WHINERS tell me what a fair price is.

A fair price is a price that allows the oil companies to make a good profit, to reinvest in their business, and to make their stock holders happy. A fair price is not posting record profits over and over and over again.

No, it won't. I cannot ride a moped 30 miles on the freeway one way twice a week to get to the hospital. Nor can they reasonably be used in the weather we have 75% of the year. Mopeds are not designed for a such a use, it's just plain unsafe.

The problem is they keep breaking the record over and over again every quarter. That's called gouging.

Cornservatives don't usually snivel like you are here so go have an adult beverage n' cool down. As long as the price of oil is high due to demand, the OIL COMPANIES WILL POST RECORD PROFITS. That is absolutely not true. Even if I didn't drive I would still be paying for fuel. Every product sold in every store in the united states is delivered using fossil fuels. Furthermore, most people are required to drive to work every day, as well as many other places that are required to go to live your life. It is not a choice.

I choose to buy inefficient vehicles because I make a comfortable living and I can afford it. What about my friend steve who makes $7.50/hour? It takes him 2 hours every day just to pay for the gas he needs to get to work! It simply should not take 25% of a person's income to buy necessary fuel.

I don't deny them profit.....
I just want them to quit flaunting their strangle hold on the price at the pump......
I think that the U.S. Government should build & open their own refineries....
Just a couple.....
The cost will be a drop in the bucket, or tank, if you will, of the cost of the war.....
Which has disrupted a large source of oil, btw.....
For YEARS!.....
Time to get the 'Trust' to be responsible......

i fail to see what you are all whining about gas prices here in england for that amount of fuel 1 Gallon, would cost us nearly 4 pound sterling so it would be nearly 8 dollars and ya'all whine at 3 dollars

our fuel is charged by the litre and its in some places 1 pound for a litre that would be 2 dollars

so come run your boats and trucks over here then you got something to moan about
