Hey Mike, one of the guitar forums I frequent has quite a few members using Garage Band, sounds like an awesome app from their postings. Oh yeah, don't let that vid fool ya none, that's about the extent of my current capabilities, and my singing sounds as bad as my rotten stringers looked. And the shirt was meant to distract from my feeble attempt...lol

Tom, glad to hear someone is getting out still. Work has really taken a beating on me lately, so the necessities like seats, new trailer wiring & tires, batteries and gas tanks have taken a backseat for now. Cool to hear your boys are musically inclined, I gave my nephew an old bass I had, and it has turned him around...not once since receiving it has he been in trouble at school or at home{2yrs now} and actually got him away from the PS/Xbox or whatever it is that attached itself to him. Think this boat project of mine has re-fired up his desire to go fishing again as well. Man things sure are different from when we were kids. And lastly...you can send that firewood over here if you like, I have no problems burning them little bugs, cost my folks place up near Hillman quite a few trees.

Hey, don't sell yerself short, bud. You might not know a lot of tunes yet, but you can definitely play guitar.

Got a jamming buddy or two? That's when it gets really fun, because you key off what each other's doing. It's the best way to learn and get better. The backup band software is very cool, but it just does what it does.

Great video ken,got out thursday morn.to fish one last time this year,water temp. was 58 degrees on the lake i was at man the water cools down fast this time of year!Caught one largemouth bass chunky 2 pounder,still a lot of weeds in this one lake,also saw some carp up in the shallows but had the lake to myself for about 3 hours before departing,lots of bow hunters were out in the state game areas after seeing a lot of cars parked in the lots over their in washtenaw county ,i live in southern ingham county so i fish the chain of lakes over their ,halfmoon lake,patterson lake hyland lake,etc... rain stayed off until i got close to home about a 30 minute drive,so the timing worked out great,anyway back to house work the trees are gonna have to wait until the wind and rain quits..See Ya. No, I haven't forgot about this. Priorities and wants{ besides winter setting in} have put this old gal on the back burner. For those who haven't seen my other project...I picked up a 1961 Starcraft Holiday. Needless to say the fire is about out on this. Don't get me wrong, I really like this, but in actuality, I believe the Starcraft will better fill the end goal I would like to have. My new plan is to swap a few parts to the SC and vice versa. I'm keeping the Johnson w/controls from here to install on the new luv, along with the radio, possibly gages {at least the trim gage} and also considering a trailer swap. EZ hooked me up with a shot of his 18' on it's trailer, and from the looks of it I may be alright with the new one once I move the stop ahead, although this one is much better built...time will tell.

Anyways will keep ya's updated on this as things pan out. Here's a view of the seats{which I won't be using from the SC}... I think they're a perfect fit color wise, will need to redo the jump seat box's of course{they're all just setting here for the photo..unattached}. The new to me SC has a teleflex steering system which seems real smooth and a comfortable wheel, so I won't be swapping anything in that dept. The SC came with Mer/Cruser controls, so maybe I'll check out something along those lines to power this up with, or possibly let it go without any powerplant and let the next owner deal with it...

So until further developments, let me thank you all who have followed along &/or dropped in with this project, It's been fun and I've picked up a great deal of useful tips and ideas from you guys and I appreciate all of your help and your sense's' of humor during this ride...definitely needed at times....... this site rocks!!!

Heh...so I'm browsing boats on my local Craigslist last night, just seein what's out there, and I come across a 17' Imperial that looks awfully familiar...then it clicks-- the boat, the humor in the ad (bought a bigger boat, so I'm selling this one so the wife will let me continue living here :)), the location...that's Kenny's old boat!

Good luck selling it...maybe you should put a link to this thread in the CL ad to show all the work you really put into her.

Hiya Mike, how ya been? Yeah that's her on the chopping block. I would link to the thread, but then I might be offering thoughts of 'if he can do it so can I'...danged double edged sword if you ask me{lol}
Don't be shy tho....throw your offer up with the rest of em ;):p
Hope you & yours are doing well!

I just might make an offer knowing the work you put into that boat, if I was in the market for one. To be completely honest though, my very first thought (before I realized it was the S.S. HopeSheFloats) was, "that guy wants an awful lot of money for a 30+ year old boat without a motor". :p

Seriously, maybe you should put a link to the resto thread. There's lots of guys who can't do their own resto because they just don't have the time (like me) or they aren't handy.

Anyway, seeing that got me wondering if you started a resto thread on your new baby, and I see I'm late to the party again-- you have 5 or more pages on the '61 Starcraft! I'll have to read through that when I get the chance and say hi over there.
