Failed spark test on cylinder 2. Just scored an entire wiring harness, power pack, new coils, stator and timer base on ebay for $125.00 shipped in guaranteed condition.

For $115.00 I got all of the parts listed above. What I don't use I will resell having all the parts on hand will just make fixing it that much quicker.

Boat is being converted to new rack and pinion steering, all ply is now varnished consoles are now painted one of which has to be redone tomorrow the front casting deck goes in and gets carpeted. Then the consoles are going on. Seat bases and seats are going to get mounted as well.

We are officially entering reconstruction phase.

Young and energetic huh not really feeling that at the moment.

Of course I hit the rack last night at 02:30 and started again at 0730 this morning.

I will never understand how you can do the exact same thing twice with a paint gun and one turns out perfect and the other a runny mess.

I am not sure if Redneck Joe is still tuned in but this one is for you.

This one is for the whole starmada, cause you know who doesn't like seeing a big gaping hole cut into a glasser.

Upgrading from rotary to rack and pinion steering.

Going to be using angle to hold everything into place

Jb I missed the Suzuki by 10minutes the guy sold it while I was on the phone with him. It was the current Evinrude that failed spark test. Compression after oiling the cylinders is 122 125 and 130. I bought all new ignition components for the Evinrude for $115 shipped.

Glenn Ive seen the quality of your work I would be afraid to even set foot in your boat let alone go near it with a tool in my hand.

Not to mention I still have to finish my 18'

Jb donor boat is stripped with engine on stand. As soon as cosmetics are wrapped and my parts get here she will be up and running with fresh carb rebuild fuel pump rebuild water pump all new ignition system gear lube she will be ready to rock. I believe the 75 hp will be a great fit for this hull as its about 80 lbs lighter than an 85 hp V4 and only 10 hp off of max capacity of 85 hp.

Sorry you missed it. Hope the new motor gear gets it in fighting order too.

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

It happens jb I dawdled because it was on a rotten glasser and quite frankly I don't want another one of those to deal with. The plan is 8 days to put everything back together in the hull two days to get the motor running and mounted. 2 days for wrap up minor details

Looking good Sig. :thumb: Motivated people are hard to come by these days, seeing all the boat resto work done here on the forums helps inspire me to head out the shop and start doing something on my tin.

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

Well guys its kind of a sad day at the sig,
Household donor boat is gone the steering sold seperately from the boat $75 for the steering $75for the boat and trailer. $300 paid for the boat i got $150 back out of it. Plus I got a 75hp Evinrude an 18gallon aluminum tank gauges and eleelectrical. So i got all of that stuff for $150.00 and I got a huge trailer upgrade for the 18 footer.

Why is it a sad day in the sig household you ask because I really wanted to crush it with the track hoe.

Well, that just means there's room in the Sig boat stable for another donor boat, if one wanders across your radar....
