Jeez I must have a problem... I was posting pics of Mighty Mo from Hawaii when there on vacation. Is there an iboats forum rehab center?

Yeah, but don't forget he's nailin' for sale signs on all the phone poles between E. Tenn and Savannah, Ga. Isn't even out of the neighborhood yet.

Hey guys nothing exciting to report im down in Charleston Sc at the moment gonna tour some plantations. Hit the beach and generally forget about life for a week. Had breakfast this morning at my house (great thing my boat building skills are better than my omelette building skills) Yesterday i cleaned the shop and handled some last second honey do stuff before we left. I will be back in the hangar either Saturday or Sunday. The admiral is determined now that next year the 18footer comes with us. When I get back I should have a surprise in store for that boat GA you know but mum is the word. Hopefully final rigging on this boat when I get back. I took 9 freaking days off work

Would love to go fishing out on the ocean while here unfortunately a charter isn't in the budget for this trip.

Is a head boat half, 3/4 or full day going to do it for ya? They aren't nearly as expensive as a charter. Charters can be tough if you've got to foot the whole bill, split 3ways it isn't nearly as bad......

Enjoy the time away!

Hmmmm, surprise for the silver lining, interesting........

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

Well just to be honest with everyone and myself. I no longer have an interest in moving at the same break neck speed I have been, the boat was originally suppossed to be sold to fund my vacation well it didn't happen. The realization also hit me today it is boating season in Tennessee and for the second season in a row I am down to only the Pontoon. There is really no way I can finish the 18' by summer, and this one has been taking all my time.

This one is much closer to being done than the 18' and I am going to finish it first as originally decided but I am also not going to sweat it if it doesn't sell right away, I've decided that if she isn't sold I am going to use the Carp out of her all summer but her in the hangar for winter and sell her next spring.

Anyways I did do a little work today,

While working on my freshly redone windshield my youngest came through the shop playing. I had to catch this pic for you Glenn.

Rubrail Channel is installed.

Steering is in all i have to do is put the bezel on it and bolt the wheel on.

Front seats are permenantly mounted, the cowling is all prepped for paint.

I see your kid is in training to crush glassers.

I think you made a good decision on finishing and using the 16'er. Having her all fixed up and proven can only help with getting a good/better price next spring.

PS - Send Gibbles impact wrench back, will ya? :D

Gibbles sure wouldn't want my impact wrench its a craftsman and the biggest over priced piece o junk ive ever bought

Its a Dayton 3/8" drive gun about 30 years old and my dad's and it has removed stuck lugs and rusty trailer bolts that my 6 month old 1/2 inch drive Craftsman wouldn't touch. I use that gun almost everyday in the shop.

Thanks JB those were the ones I found earlier as well but the aren't what I need perfect for the 18 but not the 16

These use a funky mount bolt has a hole on one end and threaded on the bottom, Then another separate 10x24 bolt runs into the hole.

Sig - Sorry about the impact wrench remark. I figured you saw the posts in Dozer's thread.
