Re: How much do you pay for your wet slip?
town slip with water and electric from march 15th to november 15th. also some security from memorial day to at least labor day, sometimes columbus day. around $53 a foot. my 23 footer would have run about $1200 but its 50% off for handicapped and senior folk. my wife has some back problems and has a handicapped parking permit so we only had to pay $600. that price is unheard of on long islands south shore. my buddy pays $1400 for a slip behind a private house with no electric. if i were a rich man, there's a sweet private gated marina for like $100 a foot but has private beach, bbq pits, gazebos, bathrooms, and a new built in salt water pool. no wrenching on your own boat though. not for me. heres what i have. it was sort of at the mouth of the canal and a bit more exposed to chop and wind than boats further up, but i was able to move 9 slips up this year. that 90 feet makes all the difference. im set for life.
