A good old OMC Factory service manual and the proper test equipment would have answered a lot of questions on this problem !! JMHO.

I got the proper test equipment just a little unsure how to use the meter.im only 25 lol and ive been looking for a omc manual hard to find one.

Ken Cook has them 24/7/365....eBay "usually" has them as well.
