Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

Well, I don't know nothing about rotary engines except that they go like a striped butted ape. So, you may have a point there but as I said, I'd have to see it to beleive it. But on a similar note, I ran out of gasoline last week while mowing the yard so I pulled out the ol' Tohatsu outboard gas tank & filled the mower with that 2 stroke premix. Darned if it didn't seem to rev higher & run smother. You didn't hear that from me. BTW, That Tohatsu 15 hp also vibrates like a Harley Davidson at idle when I troll. I always use 87 octane regular but the marina where we ran out of gas at only had premium. I'd swear that thing idles smother with that grade of gas. It was the first time I could tolerate it & actually did troll with it for an hour or two. So I'll do some more testing & see what I think in a month or two. Regards, Bin....

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

Here is a reply I got today from someone that saw this post about the GTA Fuel enhancer and tryed it.

I made my 300 mile round trip today in my 2003 Ford Taurus. Have not checked the gas mileage, but it sure runs better. Seems to idle better but the real difference is when you hit the gas from a stop sign. No hesitation at all. My Mega Flow exhaust really has a nice note to it now. I will check gas mileage when I fill up in a couple of days and on the next two or three tanks of gas. As of right now, I'm impressed. I will put this in my wife's 2004 Subaru Forester tomorrow and my sons 1997 Audi A6 Quattro. The Audi will be the real test for this product.

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

LD, I'm surprised that you tried this fuel enhancer in the first place. What made you want to try it? I've seen you post here more than once questioning why someone would want to add additives to their motor oil when the oil companies spend countless dollars on engineering an oil that is as close to perfect as they can get it. I'm paraphrasing, but that was the general idea. I thought that made a lot of sense. How is it any different with the gasoline?

The GTA website states that their fuel enhancer works by making the fuel more viscoelastic which solves the fuels fractional distillation problem. Lots of fancy words, but when you break it down, making a liquid more viscoelastic means that it won't atomize as easily. Why would you not want your fuel to atomize completely? Generally unatomized fuel burns less efficiently in the combustion chamber or not at all. At the same time they claim 50%+ better fuel economy. It doesn't add up. Have you noticed any better fuel economy in your RX7? Just trying to figure out if this product is for real or not.

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

DrownedRat:

You quoted me accuratly about oil aditives, and the question you asked about the atomization of fuel is what we have always been led to beleive.

Im having my way of thinking changed all the time.

I just filled up my 93 Ranger 4X4 4 liter this morning. The thing always gets 16-16 1/2 MPG going to and from work and running around town doing errands. (Not that good for a small truck). With the enhancer I was surprised to get 18.07. Good enough for me. I havnt got enough miles on the car yet, but I expect to see a dramatic improvement in it.

I put some in my sons Yamaha Sport bike this week end, he said that he can tell a little difference in the way it sounds, and that he can lift the front wheel easier in second gear now. Like thats what I really wanted to hear.

Yeah, but, if you went from 16 to 18 mpg & figure out the cost, I would imagine you paying more for the extra miles than you would if you just bought the gas & lived with 16?

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

Nope, that means Im getting over 30 more miles per tank. At about 55 cents an oz, thats $1.10 per tank, a gallon of gas is $2.30 here. So we are very well into the black. Plus the added performance, (Minimal). "Im in the money"!!! :D

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

Met a guy the othe day at the UPS office. We got to talking about the price of gas and such and I told him about the GTA Fuel enhancer. Before he left, I treated his car, An older Alfa Romeo to a dose of the treatment and told him where he could find me. Today there was a knock on the shop door and guess who it was?? His first words out of his mouth were, "Where can I get some of that stuff"? He said it made his car run better than it had ever ran, smoother, and idled better. He hadnt checked the mileage yet though.

Im tellin ya all!! I wish Link would get back to us.

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

Okay, okay, I'm gonna try it as soon as I can find it. I haven't seen it so far but I'll look some more. After my lawn mower experience, I'll try anything once. Is that how they make their living? Lubedude, it just hit $2.29 today here in Monterey Calif. And were pumping it ourselves at that price. And that's at the Union 76 joint. We know how to pump our own gas down here. Ha, ha, I'm a comedien. I thought we were leading the nation in regular gas prices. I get through your area once a year on my way to Yelm Wash. They always come running after me as I forget & start pumping my own gas. Regards, Been.

Re: I absolutly cant beleive it!!!

LubeDude and everyone following this:
It came in yesterday and I'm excited about trying it. But needed to figure out how to break it down to per gallon per portions for the two weed wackers :) and the lawn mower. Plus when filling up the vehicles after first putting it in.
IE: One time a car might take 6 gallons and the next 17 gallons.

The paperwork says 2 ounces per 15 gallons of gas or 30 gallons of diesel .

LubeDude (and anyone else) here is what I came up with using their figures. 0.8 or 8/10th of a teaspoon per gallon. And cut that in 1/2 for my diesel truck.

Anyone reading this please check my math out. Its not a exact science but I want to be close.

Today the 28th I'll be adding it to the van and truck. I dont expect to see much difference over the weekend as I wont be driving them much.

BTW for all. I wont be adding the GTA to the wifes Go-cart with options (doors and windows).
She said NO-WAY until I prove it doesnt kill my van or truck.
I didn't point out to her that they are both Fords and can't be killed! They come off the the assy line DOA! :D :D

Back on topic:
(I've put secert programming codes in here so LubeDude can't see this part) ;)
To ALL: I've never tried "Snake Oils" before.
There was two reasons I decieded to try it.
A: My fishing partner switched to man made oil and a new air filter system and gained 4 MPG. I tried to talk him into trying one first for a month, then the other. But he isnt that type of a guy. The same question in my mind. Did one work and the other not? Or did they both work?? But the bottom line is that one or both Snake Oils worked! But we have no idea which

B: After reading LubeDudes posts for almost a year I think he is a stand up type of guy and wouldnt lie about such a thing.
Secert programming codes off now :)

Over the long weekend I'm going to try it with a weed wacker (2 cycle) and a new lawn mower (4 cycle) And I'm going to use my wife as a wittness.
Both the lawn mower and weed wacker have 6oz tanks. We will both do 1/2 a yard without GTA then add it and see if there is a difference.
The lawn mower and weed wacker will only do 1/2 of the back or front on a tank.
IF this stuff works it only adds 11.25 cents per gallon and 1/2 that for diesel! Will make a post later.. Even if it disagrees with LubeDudes.

As far as the company goes..they have been great! Good company. Where right on top of things
when I called in on Monday explaining that I had a double order.. then cancelled my second order! How often does this happpen? :)

Link:
I have to admire you for being so diligent on your mixing ratios.

I have found that my Pick-up likes about 3 oz per 15 Gals, and my car (rotary) likes about 4-5 Oz. per 15 gal. My boat gets 4 oz. per 15 gals.

You should double up on the amount in your weed eater. (please) 2 cycles like a little more.

Im not sure what you are going to prove in your lawn equipment, but we will see.

I just checked my mileage in my pick-up again and I got 19 this time. About a half mile better than the last time.

I was told that I would get better after the first tank due to the computer taking a little time to adjust, and he was right.

Oh, and please do be honest, but I am still thinking there would be minimal difference in your lawn equipment.

Advice noted and will do so.
Lawn mower: Dont really think Ill see much difference. Its brand new and has only been used three times for less than a hour total.

But as long as I'm going to experment why not :) GTA only runs about 11.3 cents a gallon to play with and even doubled is still under a quarter.

Weed Whacker: It's a tiny little thing. 25CC and maybe .59 HP?? I think they also use the same engine on model air planes :D So it really gets a work out. I should be able to feel and hear the difference.. If it ever quits raining!!

Just added 4oz to the van and will fill up in a few minutes. 95 Aerostarr AWD 4.0 Ltr V6 177K

Nice easy to use measuring system that it comes in.
Note to Link: Next time don't lift the bottle up to see if every last drop came out on a windy day! The wind picked up a little drop on the spout and it stretched out like spider Webb and went all over the van. This doesnt hurt anything but just a goofey thing I did :)
