Re: I'm an owner! 1975 Islander 22
cue EZ, coming in with an I/O slam.......
What a softball opening for him huh?
LOL.
Just caught up with the last video. Sounds great and looks like you're haulin'. Congrats! This weekend is going to be absolutely beautiful and the York, PA Starcraft contingent is heading to Lake Raystown for a weekend of camping/fishing/boating. If it's going to be anywhere near as nice as out there, it would certainly be worth hooking your hoses back up and splashing her again.
And he passes on the softball! Pretty classy EZ.
And lemme tell ya buddy, 35 felt like 110 to me.
It's kinda weird - the couple times I've opened it up while I was driving it alone (believe it or not) it actually feels too light. I'm not really comfortable going top speed in that situation. I'm sure with experience I'll get more used to how it handles and that feeling will mellow, but it will also be much heavier once I have a full interior and a pair of filled 25 gallon fuel tanks, so that'll calm it down a bit too.
Regarding the re-splash, I've accepted the end of the season and I've moved on already. You learn not to taunt the weather up here. I know it's just teasing me. If I flush the anti-freeze tonight, a glacier will move though here tomorrow.
Of course I still thought about splashing it again this weekend, but it looks rainy.
Great video! She certainly does get up & go! what a great feeling huh PR?
Beer & Cookies...total awsomeness!
Kev - it feels very, very, very good.
Yeah beer and cookies!! I'll be the first to admit I'm a professional beer drinker, but as this boat still intimidates me a bit and the St. Croix is a big and very busy river at that spot, I chose to party by drinking Fresca and eating Pecan Sandies and left the beer for my passengers. Nothing but ice water in that Nalgene bottle on the dash.
See, a professional always knows his limits - yes?
Now if you'll excuse me, my 16oz PBR is empty.
