AS a sometimes bass tourny fisherman, beating the banks and catching fish. The LAST thing I want to see is a wetjet doing 50mph pass between me and shore, two or more is even worse. The fish don't bite and I an out hundreds of dollars in signup fees. Not to mention having to hotfoot to the next known fishing spot, in hopes of good fishing. My father "before he past" made a 4 oz. flat lead weight,with hooks all around to either knock off or hook a wet jetter and jerk him off of machine."never used" BUT! still have. As a wet jetter, YOU!! have the WHOLE! lake or river, LOOK around and THINK!!, BEFORE! you SCREW UP,somebody's day and cost them money. IT is NOT hard to play in the middle of lake and make you guys look better as wet jet riders.

The way i see it is most jetskies are ran by younger people not always but most of the time so they dont have as much respect for others as older boaters or jetskiers.
On another note i see how u lose money and such but they have a rite to ride up and down the water way as much as you have a rite to fish. They probably say why doesnt this guy get out of ower way all hes doing is fishing? SO it could go either way but i know what your saying but im just say keep a open mind on the situation. I never intenchonaly try to make somone have a bad day. Would it be the same if i was driving my 14ft 40hp up and down the river or somone tubing or sking up and down?

I have the same problem while crabbing. But my experiences were not limited to only the jet skis. In fact, they are probably the minority. Nothing like having a 30'er plowing through the water 15 yards away or a sailboat who thinks everyone with a motor should move out of his way.

This is what I mentioned earlier. I dont see as much issues with jetski's as much as I did a decade ago. Its more of the newly purchased pleasure boat owners boating at random at full throttle all day.

The lake I frequent has a large body and a few chanels. Most the fishing bunch stick to the chanels and the pleasure boaters stick to the open body. But there are always a handfull that blast up and down the chanels non stop.

Sorry Matt but I have to disagree with you. A guy trying to pick bass off of the shoreline has no effect on a jet skier. But the jet skier has a very negative impact on the fisherman's day. I believe that most jet skiers just do not realize the power that they have over larger boats. I've been on jet skis and I'm so focused on jumping waves and not getting killed by some 30' cabin cruiser that it easy to forget that I have as much impact on others as they have on me.

My point is that jet skiers are probably more ignorant than they are a-holes.

I own a towing business, I tow satellites in outer space. You read that right, OUTER SPACE!

And you know what else? I OWN A BAYLINER! I am a real dude, I eat spaghetti with my hands, did I mention I own a Bayliner! It has a V8. It is a sleeper. People see my 20" waste in a red speedo, and they have no idea how fast my bayliner is. IT HAS A V8. DO YOU HEAR ME! V8!!!!

You people have no idea how hard it is for me not to come through your monitor right now in my speedo and make you watch my V8 Bayliner respect all over me. I AM A TOW TRUCK DRIVER! I AM CALM, I AM A REAL MAN! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too used to be a real man when I owned my Bayliner. Unfortunately, since I sold it (before my muscular a** fell through the soft spots in the floor) I have reverted to a normal human physique, and I no longer tow satellites through outer space. But I have "unofficially" tested a satellite boost motor by nailing it to a tree in the woods when questions came up about how long it could burn and it was going to cost over $30,000 to have done at a "real" test facility (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epYzT97emnE).
