Is it worth 6800.00 to pick up 5 mph??

My current boat does about 95mph. I'm soooo close to busting 100 mph. There are a few mods that will get me about the mph, but it'll cost me 6800.00. So the question is, is it worth it? Is 100 mph worth 6800.00?? I'm going nutz coming up with my decision.

The question is... Is it worth it to you? Another 5mph is NOT "Busting" 100mph. It'll only get you there. How much more is it going to cost you to get another "Little bit more speed"?... And is it worth it? To me? No. Absolutely not. Even if I had the money to support a high end speedboat, I'm just not into that. But if you are, and the 6800 deer isn't going to hurt you or your family, and the next 6-10,000 deer won't hurt you either, and it's going to make you happy enough to make that amount of money worth it to you, then YES!!! of course it's worth it... But only you can figure that out. Nobody can do that for you.

Will you have at least $ 6,800 when you die? If so, then you can afford to do it. Spend your money while you're in good health and able to enjoy life. I see too many people with ailments that prevent them from doing what they want to do. Just today, I met with a guy who all of a sudden came down with lung cancer. He almost died last week and he never smoked. His time in the sun is fading fast. You could be next so if you have the money, go have some fun.

well for me i would go for it but i don't think my 14' boat can go that fast. thanks for offering tho mabey you can try to get your boat to go that fast. i just don't think i have that kind of money for my boat or the trasom for it but its a nice offer to buy it for me.

there are 70+ mph pontoon boats on the local lake here. 496mercs// twin 200hp OBs --the slip next to me has a 250hp Etec on his he said it will go 65mph..
there are catamaran speed boats that can hit 150+ but $$$$$$$$$$$$
I think a STV cat w/ 300Merc OB might get close to 100.

Pontoon- pls show us / tell us about yer boat.

( and pulled a BBQ trailer 105mph)
