the cylinders are water in it ..the impeller had a breakdown and the sea water ran a small amount in the heat exchanger that increased the engine heat and the head gaskets breaking down ...
that picture is the impeller is rubber cracking it and bent the fins ..
put oil in the cylinders and rotate engine is marvel mystery oil ....probably a rusted issue ,,piston rings

os it water or antifreeze. Do you have a half or full closed system?

i would pressure test the af side while its still together
It was antifreeze in the cylinders. Fully closed system. I'll have to put it all back together to test it then. I have the manifolds, heads, and heat exchanger taken apart now.

Yeah always see folks do that before they pressure test

You are down to block or head crack, head gasket , or exhaust manifold/ elbow. Given it got hot I would be leaning towards head gasket. Would replace heads and gaskets after inspecting for cracks, then pressure test the long block separately. Co currently test manifolds and elbows with acetone

When you get it back running hopefully soon change the oil repeatedly until it is clear

I do not use acetone ....use metal ... do not use rubber parts ..looks like the impeller cracks spray on acetone damages it ...

no idea what you are talking about do not use rubber parts.

Many folks on here have filled manifolds with acetone because it wicks through cracks in manifolds more so than water, is a commonly used leak test for manfoolds
