Re: jack
I entered the boating world in a canoe. Yup in 1995 I purchased a 15' fiberglass canoe. I made a motor mount/seat from some funky pallet I found at work. I bolted on a 2 x 4 on top and slapped on a trolling motor, and I was gone. I put over 1200 hrs of fishing from that canoe. If I had a camera to show you the expresions I got froms folks at the dock you would could laugh for hours.

Point is you get what you can afford and use the heck out of it and not worry about anyone elses opinion on what youve got. If a bayliner is all yo can afford then so be it. If someone wants to bash you about what youve got then, then chances are they don't have anything better to do. If you are spending any amount of time defending what youve got then youve got nothing better to do.
The lake that I put in to go boating at at his moment has some trully amazing boats on it. And yes I look at them, but still enjoy what i've got.

Done...
