If every member voted the results would be roughly the same. It's not like only the ones who don't like the brand forums are the ones who voted...

I wonder how many of the thousands of members registered have posted in the last 6 months?

Re: Keep or Drop the Manf. Forums

FWIW IMO that forum could be handled a little differently, or at least presented in a more efficient manor. If it could be grouped under its own heading or kept in its own "folder" if you will. (I am not now nor have I ever been computer expert, and I did not stay at a Holliday Inn Express last night so bear with me.) Much the same way files are stored in windows. To access the specific brand name you would click on the Boats by Mfg. block and that would "bring up an A-Z type list, from there you could pick the appropriate letter to display the boat brand your searching for. That forum could also be omitted from the search function unless specifically chosen or added to the search list.

Re: Keep or Drop the Manf. Forums

well, here is what I think they should do....
They should organize it by category instead of brand. For example, Bass Boats, RIB's, Pontoon Boats, Runabouts, etc.

I still think the manufacturer forums give them more hits on search engines . . . From there it is purely a Mod issue. As long as JB and his numeric brethren (sisteren?) keep it straight, it should work out OK. My .02

ZMOz, I am amazed you think the readership which apparently you feel you represent owns this site. All who dislike the boats have the RIGHT to avoid them. I guess some people (YOU) feel if something is not your way then we all must follow your lead.

Your statistical analysis is more than flawed it is totally ridiculous to even consider (67%). What would your so called analysis reveal if presented to those who post in the boat feature of this site.

You have made obvious in many of your post you insight and knowledge is grossly limited by unenlighted one-sided opinion.

I say let iboats decide what is best for iboats and you are wrong this site does belong to them. If you do not like it start your own.

What part of "the majority has voted and they don't like it" don't you understand? It's not just ME, it's the MAJORITY of the users here. I already said it's up to iboats if they want to keep it or not, (you must have missed that part) but anybody who thinks Iboats can do whatever the hell they want is a moron! They cannot! They have to do exactly what their customers want them to do. It's threads like these that show iboats exactly what it is the people want, and if people like me don't speak up and tell them then nothing will ever change!

It would remain the same no matter where you put the poll. The same people read the boating sections as read DC. Throughout the entire poll, since there were 2 votes, 10 votes, 20 votes, 30 votes, etc, the results have stayed almost exactly the same. Go ahead, ask the same question in the boats section.

Like I've said before, if you don't like my opinion, too bad. I couldn't possibly care less. Your opinion is no more correct nor important than mine is. (And of course the majority agrees with my opinion and not yours)

I'm pretty sure personal attacks aren't tolerated here. As much as I despise you, I'm mature enough to keep them to myself.

Well, you "despise" txswinner and think a bunch of us (including me) are "morons". Then you chastize us for "personal attacks". Holy crap, I think you contradict yourself twice, in the very same post.

Re: Keep or Drop the Manf. Forums

1. You despite is accepted and appreciated because from such a source it is a compliment.

2. No remark or response as to who owns this site so I guess you now concede your incorrect statement. Accepted.

3. Your survey methods have absolutely no scientific or mathematical credibility. If you disagree perhaps you might enlighten us with a simple standard deviation % based up your research and analysis.

4. No everyone does not read DC, in fact for a long time I never opened it.

5. So basically from a logical standpoint you have simply put forth a basic question and read into it whatever you desire. Nothing to support truth, knowledge to conduct such a survey or knowledge to reach supportable conclusion therefrom.

Merry Christmas, it ain't as easy as it seems.

Its a damn good thing I don't run the site here, there would be one less person to moderate. To say the owners and employees would be nothing and working at Wendys without this site truly shows your level. They can do whatever they want, they OWN the place. Sure they have to give a customer want they want, its the nature of business. Whenever the customer asks for way more than he gives it becomes a problem. If you were cutting my grass at $200 for my 3 lots it would be absurd for me to assume that you would still charge $200 when I bought the 3 lots adjoining mine for a total of 6 lots.
.
.
.
Yes, I did vote and I said to drop the new forums, my opinion only, for whatever they think of it.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
This post is my opinion. It is much like yours. Some are going to agree with me and others are not. I'm perfectly happy with that. You have yours and I have mine. Neither is necc right or wrong.

Re: Keep or Drop the Manf. Forums

Anyone notice how when the polls agree with me, the people that disagree just get together and attack me? It only proves you have no logical arguement.

Yes, I did call many groups of people morons, because they are. That is not a personal attack. A personal attack is when you are specifically talking about one person.
