Mine is a gen 1 for sure but has internal c clip rings. Are you saying yours has external snap rings holding the caps on? I was under the impression all gen 1, R, MR and gen 2 up to 1998 drives were internal c clips.

Look in dons adults only sticky there is a cross reference to commonly available u joints that you can get anywhere.

Is the new bearing seated fully

I have not put them on yet do to it raining. The brand I bought is precision and part number 315g from orilleys. I saw another member on the forum had used the same ones. These do have the half c clamp that mount outside and holds the bearing cap on. I have not looked at my drive yet so I do not know if they will fit. I am trying to find that part number that Don listed.

Looking at them it looks like the c clamp might be internal.
