I launch the new (to me) boat in the morning as the driver delivers her. I had a delay for the buff job, but better weather in the am.

I got a million things going through my mind, can't wait.

Don't get nuts with excitement and forget something, like putting in the transom plug! Have fun!

So, let's see the pics!

I know what you mean- I've driven my Four Winns exactly twice, last October/Novemebr. Once on the sea trial, once to bring it from the seller's dock to the marina where it's now blocked and wrapped. Won't be in the water before May...

Not a great pic, but one anyway.

We came to this from a 18' Cuddy so we made a jump.

Our plan is to launch/clean tomorrow, rename party Sunday and do a short cruise for Valentines Day

If you happen to cruise up my way drop a line. Mine is currently moored in MY FRIGGIN DRIVEWAY. Won't be getting wet until spring. Formula F26 PC.

Capt Red,

The Tennessee River will love that boat.......and the boat will love the river.

Have fun and keep the dirty side down.

Thanks Skipper.

We're very pleased with our purchase and how little it took to get into it. The wife surprised me today with a jacket and cap with the boat name on it.

We plan to make way to Knoxville in June and South Alabama in July.

Also plan to see Riverbend by water as well. We've an entire summer booked already.

Capt Red,

Just noticed you're on the Tennessee and pretty close by, just wondering if you ever make it over around Scottsboro, AL?

Congrats!!! Last weekend was beautiful 4hrs Southwest of your end of Georgia. Weather's getting better quickly. May need to take longer than a short Valentine's Day cruise;). Best of luck and nothing but great times!!!

Sounds like a blast! Well, not so much the orange part, but Roll Tide! ;):D

If you happen to float past a Jones Cove on your charts (about mile marker 388), feel free to swing in a say hi. I help out with their summer camp program in Jund and July. Im usually only there a couple days a week tho.

Enjoy!

Way to go Capt Red. When you have the lady on your side you have it made.

I had the opportunity to travel the Tennesse from Paduka to the TennTom waterway and out Mobile bay for several years in the fall headed home from the Great Lakes. Interesting ride and I had to keep on my toes at all times.

I always had the hardest time communicating with the barges. That one whistle, 2 whistle navigation was confusing to me. Throws everything I learned about navigation signals out the window.

Be safe and enjoy!

Congratulations Capt. Red! Cruisers makes a nice boat. We had one back in the 1980's and it served us well for many years. Happy to see the Admiral is on your side.

The launch went well. Other than the port engine running a little warmer than the starboard it was better than expected. I was concerned with how narrow my slip is, as it seemed the wide hipped gal barely fit into her berth.

Canvas is part of the way up and cleaning under way. Supposed to be fifty tomorrow so we will do some more cleaning and possibly a short run to the lock and back.

She seems larger in the water to me.
