I have a 1986 Force 125hp Motor. It idles GREAT! and starts QUICKLY. Nice PURR when it idles. But when I put it into gear forward or reverse, the engine likes to die. WHY? What can I do? It was just taken out of storage, so maybe that has something to do with it, but if the fuel was bad, it wouldnt be idling nicely, correct? Seems like i need to make an adjustment somewhere or replace some gears??
Not good for the starting battery and the starter motor, since I have to restart it quite a bit. Or I get lucky and I am not able to catch it and place it back into Neutral before it dies, by getting it idling good again and then try putting it back into gear.
