Well ladies and germs,I have decided to build this kayak.It wont be done any time soon, but you have to start some where.Ive started by cleaning my garage out. It might be all nice and pretty,and then I might just make it camoflage.Yes,camoflage is a color! I plan on making templates out of some hard board that I have, then transferring those to the plywood.I can make some of the frames with some mahogany that I have laying around.I also plan to build a paddle, but that is a little ways off.Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.(unless you want me to cut it in half)But I suppose that I could cut it up when Im done and call it "yak in half". <br /><br />

By the way, the plans print really quite well.Just make sure that you set your printer to the best quality,or you cant read the small print very well.

Hmmm... and you could put a 4hp motor on the back of it... make the other 1/2 a dresser, and Crap the whole thing and build a Minimax...

I concur <br /><br />Any plans for outriggers? I was going to mention cutting it off at the rear frame and making that frame a transom for yes a 4 hp motor. <br /><br />Ya want me to remove the gray background in your plans for ya? I can clean them up and make them much easier to read if ya like. <br /><br />p.s. when your done, I'll race ya.

I use paint shop pro <br /><br />you can make fun of my projects anytime ya like.. I dont have to worry about "functional" like you do. <br /><br />I take your plans and use the "fun" part and you can keep the "ctional" part. lol

lol got any parts that look like they could belong to a kayak on the bench and floor? <br /><br />I need a computer in the garage so I can post and work ... maybe a webcam for realtime progress report.

lol clean is for the doctors office. <br /><br />And after reading the posts on foam cored boats, I'd climb into any of our homemade boats before i'd spend 20+ thousand on one of those.

LMAO.... I'm makin progress... the first stage is to "Study the Plans and have a good understanding of them" <br /><br />Right now I understand that :<br />Cut wood+fiberglass tape+resin+motor=boat<br /><br />I think somewhere I'm missing something... I'll have to read them again
