So if I put an external alternator on it does it mean that I won’t need the regulator anymore?? And if so can you send me a wiring diagram thanks

So split the drive in half and as I predicted the top was seized tried to remove the top cap but 2 out of 4 bolts were seized what to do now ??

Can’t I live in the Philippines any other way ?? Maybe change the seals or bearings the unevirsal joints are smooth like butter and the shaft is peachy the lowers also peachy I think it’s this part I circled by black ok I circled by blue I think is bad not all but maybe some

Yes, boats are expensive. No cheap fix. Your options are: 1. find a used one 2. Buy a new one 3. Find the parts and someone with the knowledge to fix it, 4. Buy some paddles and turn it into a row boat

I think 3 is gonna be my choice plus I think it’s cheaper oh and btw what are the reasons why my drive got seized cus they said they ran it 1 a month so like this month they ran it the next month the drive got seized then they left it for 5 years so what is the main reason for the drive seizing up ??

Oh and lastly to inform my boat is actually a glasstron v-174 1976 bayflite and yes the merc 470 ain’t the original engine it’s been swapped

Ohh and here’s another question, they said that when it was new it had the fuel tank under the bow cus it is a closed bow but I’m thinking maybe I can open the bow and fit a fuel tank under the floor at least a 30gallon tank is that even possible ??? And can I raise the sides of my boat and the transom to be taller than the engine so i can make one of these flat apholstered engine covers ??? And if so how ?? Thanks for the help
