View attachment 84769 Here is a photo of the waste vent loops which are overhead the generator battery. I can't think of anything to do other than covering the battery (which it should be anyway).
Is there anything that can be done about this set-up? I suppose she has been like this for almost 25 years. Dosen't mean it's right.

Some stanchions need rebedding. I was thinking of using epoxy in the screws. Any suggestions?
Is there room to reroute the waste vent loops? Is there room or an appropriate place to relocate the battery? O
3M4000 or 5200 to fill the screw holes prior to setting the screws?
Hi veritas honus.
I've been hanging out all day on her, and into the night, checking her out.....I hear the freshwater pump cycling every 10 mins or so.
Good day to you, my friend
Yeah I agree with Veritas...some 5200 will keep new stainless screws in tight for many moons.
BTW what's her cruising speed?![]()
I'd be doing the same thing if I had the good fortune to be in your position. I'd be getting to know every square inch of the vessel, become familiar with every vibration and sound she makes. You're obviously doing that... Great minds think alike.
Cool breeze and calm seas to you, my Friend
Thank you, Huron Angler. She will fill a void we needed filled. Fishing is getting hard on this sore body.

Sasto,
Super nice ride. That is on of my favorite boats. It looks in great shape but I am a little suprised by some of the neglect in the mechanical area. As far as the vent loops go, you need to get them up right for sure if there is room. Keep us posted on your efforts.
Hi Greg,
I think there is nothing I can do with the vents, that I can come up with....Yet. She has been this way for almost 25 years. I'm figureing if they are in good order they shouldn't be leaking. I ordered new valves for them, I hope this solves the problem.
If you would look at the boat, you would think she is pristine, but when you get down and do some crawling around in the bilges, this is what you find.
Thanks for the response!
Is there room to put a small bracket of some kind (L-shaped) to be able to get them 90 degrees. I can't tell how much room is below them from the pic. Sorry.
