Thank you Willyclay. I did a search on andgott and found a thread on windshield replacement for 1959 Lake N Sea but the pictures are all gone. I was thinking maybe something with this type of windshield brackets. Until I priced them. Would this type of windshield look out of place on my boat? opinions

Your boat is beautiful, I agree your type of windshield looks better than the bubble type that I originally had. The brackets seem hard to find and when you do find some they are expensive. Wish I had a small foundry.Could you share your source for the brackets?

Thanks JP ! I got lucky and the brackets were wrapped up in a rag in the bottom of the boat when I bought it ..A nice surprise ! I just bought a piece of Lexan and made a template to cut the glass myself .. Eventually I'm going to send the brackets along with some other hardware off to get re-chromed ..

Get your wallet out for the chrome, just about fell over when they told me how much a small latch would cost on Fuggly. Surely you can find some of those on evilbay?

sphelps, you got extremely lucky finding the brackets in your boat. I was going to have my face-plate and handle on my mark 58a cowl rechromed untile they told me it would cost 900 dollars. I painted it.

Now those are really nice!

Are you going with a flat W/S or some angle from the center support to the side brackets?

Boy they look good!

Thank you, I plan to angle them . I estimate 10 to 15 degrees. The windshield will be tilted back 25 degrees .

Did you use one of those aluminum brazing rods? Haven't ever tried that, just curious how well it works.

Thanks everyone. Just a wild idea. I used the aluminum brazing rods for the first time myself. They seem to be holding well but I didn`t want to stress test them to much. The wood is mahogany I recycled from an old Adirondack chair my father built back in the 50`s , about the same time he built the boat.
