New member- 63 year old mahogany runabout

Thanks everyone, trying to see how they would look on the boat. I may wait awhile before I mount them, just not sure if I want a windshield or not.

How did you adhere the wood to the sides of the aluminum ? Epoxy ?

How did you adhere the wood to the sides of the aluminum ? Epoxy ?

After shaping the aluminum and wood I rough sanded the surfaces to be glued with 100 grit emery cloth. Wiped everything with lacquer thinner and when dry applied JB weld epoxy . Clamped them and let them cure for the week end. I finished shaping them with a file and sand paper. I stained them and applied three coats or spar urethane. I have no idea of how long they will last but this boat is pampered and has an easy life.
