Re: Ok, who's in??
I was going to recommend that you bone up on your Gettysburg history before going so it will flow and be more understandable. At the visitor's center they have a couple great cd tours of the battlefield that will guide you through the day and you can stop, get out and view the monuments, etc. The Round Tops get me the most, followed by Pickett's Charge.
If you don't want to buy the cd tour, let me know and I can loan you ours.
Thanks man, I really appreciate the offer! Along with watching that movie, which if you've never seen it, you have to watch it... It is LONG, and has some boring parts, but it is probably the most historically accurate movie I've ever seen with regards to the battles of Gettysburg. Anyhow, along with watching that, I make sure anytime there is a show on, say, the Military channel or history channel, about the Civil War, I either watch it, or record it.... or both lol. I'm far from an expert on the battle of Gettysburg, but between the movies/shows, doing a lot of reading on it, and my dad's knowledge we'll be set. I'm excited to watch my dad spend time with his grandkids, especially with the oldest boy cause I know he (dad) is also excited about teaching my son about it all while we're there.
I told my wife that there is two pools at the campground that her and my mom can go lay out at but they have to take the baby lmao
